"We entered this lovely restaurant at 3:45. We were given menus and we were told about lunch specials, posted in the entry way and on the menu, by the hostess. The waiter REFUSED to allow us to order lunch, because, by the time he had arrived to take our order, as he flashed his phone at us, it was 4:07. Hmmm, The waiter did however enjoy watching a screen and talking with other employees near and around the bar prior to approaching our table. The hostess was instructed, by a person in black pants and a black and white shirt, to wash the door window, beside our table with windex in a spray bottle, and sweep the floor around our table. As we were eating our meal! Spray and dust- not a great atmosphere. The restaurant is nicely decorated. We were not given a full service of flatware, no tablecloths, paper napkins, yet the prices are comparable to a more upscale establishment. The kitchen is to be highly praised! Beautiful presentation, excellent preparation. Change of wait staff and maintenance practice would make this a great place to dine."

The food was very good. But very long waiting time of almost 1 hour. Cappuccino was undrinkable, almost only milk, lukewarm, hardly any taste of coffee..no response from the staff, just a brief sorry..we won't be coming back View menu

Made reservations for our anniversary and we arrived on time. Nobody paid attention to us for nearly 15 min. Everyone seemed to be busy setting tables. We finally ordered drinks, mine came in about 15min, hers didn't come until I grabbed the waiter and asked why. We had already ordered an appetizer which I asked the hostess to chase down 30. min later. We paid and left. We celebrated our anniversary someplace else. The food is usually good here but why bother if we can't get served. Unfortunately this isn't the first time; it is the last time,

"Worth the trip! We were seated right away. Even though we did not have a reservation. I highly recommended having one! Server Cassie, she was very sweet and efficient. Bread/rolls warm and fresh were brought right as we sat. With a red dipping sauce that had a slight kick. So good I could not keep myself from eating them!! Drinks served We had wine and Champaign. Only problem was they did not have the full bottle of the small one I tried and you have to save your cork, to try and recork left overs if you wish to take unfinished bottle. I would suggest to bring your own cork. They only pace it in a paper bag as well. This was a disappointment. Other places have corks and plastic bag they seal. My Husband started with a appetizer. I enjoyed the bread and warm spicy dipping sauce! He ordered Shrimp Cocktail. Nice cocktail sauce with chucks of horseradish! Nice cold fresh shrimp. Good size portions. Tender and not so cold it hurts your teeth to bite into. They were delicious! We ordered prime rib special for Friday Night. Queen cut. Could of feed a family of four on one piece! Thick and cooked to perfection! Melt in your mouth!. We order Medium Rare. It came with a nice creamy horseradish dip. Delish! Best baked potato I have had in a very long time. No foil wrap! To die for. Crisp on the out side and fluffy on the in side! With the best sour cream and chive. I was tossed between side salad and lobsterbisk soup. She was kind enough to offer us a sample. I did not care for it. My husband loved it. If you like the full flavor of lobster, this would be the soup you would order! My husband had already ordered the French onion. It did look good. He said it had tender onions ,but he has wished he had order the other. Said it was OK on taste. He eats Onion soup most always so he would know! I went with the side salad. I choose the house dressing. It had a nice flavor, on the sweet side. I only would of liked it better with more greens. I always have to pick half the salad out. Hard white pieces are bitter. Basic head of lettuce, and the normal toppings. Nothing special, but it was just the side salad. I recommend trying one of the others they offer if you are looking for a real salad. My husband ordered his prime rib with the lobster tail. It was well represented. Looked huge. Grilled it appeared. I did have a taste but I was not up for fish. The tail was a little on the tough side I thought but my husband devoured half. It looked like two tails or they split one huge tail in half. It came with a tea light candled serving dish. I was impressed. We ordered NY style cheese cake with strawberrys. The cheese cake was very tasty. I think I could of done without the strawberry. Not in season and a bit bitter and tough. But I did enjoy the sauce on the plate. Just dipped ansd ate. So full we only ate a few bites. I hope I have the name of the waiterss correct. She did a great job socializing with us old folks. She must of over heard us talking about cheese and hot pepper flakes. We did not ask for it. Everything was so good I did not need it. Next thing I knew she brought it over! She did that with one other thing I am just old and can not remmber at this moment. Lol. I was impressed on how quickly everyine was moving to serve people. They filled up quick!! Lots of your people. I had to stop and thick where we were. My husband laughed. We are in Auburn Not Geneva . I also wanted to mention that they seem to do a large take out serves. Lots of cars where lined up and they have a separate entrance for the to go orders. Again I was impressed!! I give five stars based on location, easy to find!. Service/Servers. Decore/Atmosphere. Presentation of food. Quality of food. Quantanty of food!"

"They need to change their name to Prison City Restaurant instead of Prison City Brewing. We were in town visiting family and wanted a place to get a few drinks and talk. Every other brewery on the lakes, you walk in, order drinks and grab a table. This place apparently doesn't want to accommodate you if you only want drinks and not food. We told the hostess we just wanted drinks and she said we could sit at the bar or wait for a table. Since we didn't want to sit 5 across the bar where we wouldn't be able to talk to each other, we decided to wait for a table. Once sat, our server immediately came over and pushed us every way he could to either sit at the bar or per his recommendation go downstairs to their cocktail lounge, as he didn't want to lose a table to people that were not ordering food. We understood where he was coming from so decided to go downstairs to the lounge. A few of us waited down there while the others ordered beer flights at the bar. Once we carried it down there, we were told we couldn't sit down there because we didn't order down there. Well if our server or hostess would have told us that, we would have ordered down there. Plus downstairs is a VERY limited menu with only a few beers and no flights. It's more for cocktails, not beer, even though they claim to be a brewery. So back upstairs we went. I asked if we could sit at the hightop tables right in front of the bar, but lo and behold, those are also reserved for food ordering customers. So our only option was to be banished to the front corner of the restaurant where people sit and wait for tables when it's busy. How can you be a brewery but have absolutely no place in your entire establishment to sit and drink beer?!? At least have a few tables in the bar area for that!! Will definitely stick to the real breweries on the lakes going forward."
