"Though we didn’t plan on coming here at first, our first choice was closed for their midday break. This was also a recommended spot, so our second choice. What a happy accident! I can’t imagine anything else being this good. The service was friendly, everything tasted delicious, the portions were generous. I was best pleased by them running lunch specials on a Saturday too. I tried the basil eggplant with pork. Instead of being a standard brown garlic sauce, it had a slightly different flavor to it, that made it magical. Almost tomato. Maybe tamarind? The other two entrées at our table also disappeared completely. Very nice. Will definitely return as my first choice."
