"Pennyhouse Cafe has the best coffee on Washington Ave!!! Best breakfast sandwiches around!!! I had the hummus burger on a bed of mesclun for me and my co-worker. The customer service is amazing!!! Everyone leaves and returns happy!!! They have a serious playlist as well!! Stop through!!! Vegetarian options: Hummus Burger!!! Parking: Parking meters on Washington Ave or alternate side parking on the side streets. That's how Brooklyn is!!!! Kid-friendliness: The staff is very friendly towards children!!! High chairs are available. Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible to customers in wheelchairs!!!!"

Went to the Brooklyn library to see the JayZ exhibit and googled nearby breakfast/brunch spots. Penny’s was at the top of the list. So we took a chance. DELICIOUS! I got a blt on bagel and my husband got a beef sausage, egg, spicy cheddar on a roll. Everything was made fresh and piled on thick. Nothing skimpy about this place. It is well worth the visit and everyone there was friendly!

I was not so happy when I ordered because I was charged 1.75 extra for almond milk for a chai latte that on the board and the guy at the cashier, I asked him why is the price on the board different than what he charged me. He said $1 but it was still more on the receipt and he didn’t put in the right portion of milk to tea. Overall the food was fine but the service of not giving me the right change for not treating the customer right.
