What a charming place for breakfast! The service is outstanding; the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food is simply exquisite; I couldn't resist the fluffy omelets and the perfectly crispy bacon. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to kick off your day.

Used to come here a lot in 2018. The quality of the food has declined slightly and not as good as I remembered. It used to be a 5/5 stars. The chicken and waffles is delicious but the breading and the waffles were soggy. They also switched from real maple syrup to fake syrup. It’s a nice atmosphere and they have delicious drinks. The food is amazing. The service is amazing. The only two things I wasn’t a huge fan of was the surrounding neighborhood. It felt in the middle of nowhere. I had to drive through Skid Row and many homeless encampments to get there. The neighborhood does not feel safe at all, also the tables are all connected so you eat kind of like family style. Felt a bit cramped and was not a huge fan of having to touch my neighbors elbows but otherwise the food and drinks were delicious and the service was great.

Poppy Rose offers classic comfort food with a unique twist. They had several variations on chicken waffles. I will almost always order eggs Benedict if it?s on the menu. Poppy Rose serves several different types of Benedicts. We ordered the FriedChicken Benedict, the Two Egg Breakfast Plate and a side order of one biscuit with sausage gravy. Their portions are big andtheir fried chicken was on point. I couldn?t eat all of the biscuits because the fried chicken pieces were so big. The chickenwas tender and juicy on the inside and had a nice crunch on the outside. The Benedict included a side salad which was lightlydrizzled in dressing.
