"I have been a regular at Portland City Grill for many years, appreciating its ambiance and dining offerings. However, my recent visit for my parents' 48th wedding anniversary was notably disappointing, a stark contrast to previous experiences. Our evening felt uncomfortably rushed. Even as we were still enjoying our meals, the bus staff began clearing our plates, some of which still had food on them. This rushed service detracted significantly from our ability to enjoy our special family occasion at a leisurely pace. Additionally, a major letdown was the temperature of the food. When our dishes arrived, they were cold. I specifically requested that my potatoes be warmed up, and although the staff did provide a new serving, the replacement was, unfortunately, also cold. This was particularly disheartening as the reasonable prices usually reflect not just the quality but also the proper service and presentation of the food. Furthermore, the total bill for our dinner amounted to over $800, which compounded our disappointment given the issues with service and food temperature. For such a significant expenditure, one expects both the food and the service to be impeccable. Overall, this experience did not meet the standard I have come to expect from Portland City Grill, especially given the significance of the occasion. I hope this incident is an anomaly and not indicative of a downward trend in service and quality."

One of our favorite Portland restaurants. Awesome views, a nice happy hour selection, great food including vegan/gluten free, and excellent service.

View is great, but service was not. Beer was warm, calamari was cold and it took 10 min from beer order to receipt. The only good thing was the great view.

A very lovely experience overall. Went for a work dinner and it was truly lovely. Excellent servers and all of the food was great and the ambiance was top notch.

We went here for dinner on Christmas Eve. It was extremely busy, but we got seated pretty quickly. We had a party of six with two kids. The food was great. However, it took one hour and 40 minutes to get our main course. We spent much of the time just sitting there waiting. It was so disappointing.

We went on a holiday, not knowing the had a holiday only menu, $160 per person. We went through with it anyway. I had the steak, and it was good but to be honest I've had better for around half the price. The view is breath taking. We need to go on a normal day to see what the normal menu is, and enjoy the view again View menu

I loved the atmosphere and the drinks were great and I loved my salad. The calamari however was VERY disappointing and kind of gross and I was only able to eat a few bites when I normally love calamari : I was surprised our waitresses didn’t ask us how our food was because it would have been nice to give input but also I’m too shy to speak up.

My first time here. Service was excellent. I ordered the spicy prickly pear margarita. Very tasty. We had the calamari Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. The Brussel Sprouts were super flavorful good. The calamari unfortunately was cold. They remade it for us, the second one was much better. My entree was the filet mignon, it came with mashed potatoes asparagus. It was very good. Overall, everything was great. Great views of the city as well!
