"Retros was a small burger joint right behind Merchant Square, off the main beat, but still in the mix. It was conveniently located so you didn't have to walk to far away from the historical area, which was nice, served what you expect: Ice Creme, Milkshakes, Burgers, Fries, which some extra things like meat loaf and salmon which I wasn't brave enough to try in a fast paced environment. Service was quick, the guys were definitely working hard, and kept the large crowds moving fairly well. The food was decent, a little better then a typical ice creme shop but certainly not up to caliber with the places surrounding. That's OK, as it's not advertised as such. It is, what it is. Small area, couldn't sit down anywhere besides the bar which was really compacted against the wall and doesn't offer much space. The available tables were all covered in food, and wasn't being cleaned quick enough, which sort of hampered the visit a bit. I enjoyed it for the quick bite on the go, and appreciate it for being what it was, but not my first choice in the area, and hope they can figure out keeping up with the areas demands."

The staff at Retro's Good Eats is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I sampled the hotdogs, and they were the best I've found in the Williamsburg area! The fries were equally delicious...

The food was decent but a bit underwhelming in flavor considering the price. It seemed like I was paying close to $50 for a meal that felt more worth around $20. On the bright side, the staff truly stood out with their warmth and friendliness.

At Retro's Good Eats, the lamb burger was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The fries complemented the meal wonderfully. The service was friendly and quick, likely due to the low crowd. The prices were fair for the area, making the menu a great value overall.

This is a great location to find some of the most popular lunch meals. They have a large selection of choices for everyone. If you have kids, they'll definitely find something here! The food tasted great. We liked this restaurant very much and theprices are very reasonable! View menu

Quiet hidden place just outside of colonial Williamsburg. Perfect place to catch your breath before heading back out. I had the patty melt, my husband had a hot dog and we shared the fried pickles. So so worth the trip. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms. Thefresh squeezed lemonade is refreshing.

I stopped in here for lunch with my family. We ordered hot dogs and burgers. I ordered the lamb burger which was delicious. My kids loved the hot dogs and mac n cheese bites. Service was good and food was prepared quickly. The place was very clean. The only downside was that it was really pricey for hotdogs and burgers.

Had dinner here the milkshake and soda float were great and there's a nice laid back atmosphere, but the food was disappointing. The chicken tenders and the mac'n'cheese bites tasted very industrial/from frozen, and the shepherd's pie appeared to be a layer of mashed potato topped with brown gravy and chopped up hamburger. I just finished my meal, and the Lambburger was so incredible that I felt compelled to leave a review. It’s about an hour’s drive from VA Beach, and my partner and I are here visiting the shops. After a few lunches at a cozy-looking retro diner, I decided to try the Lambburger, and I’m so glad I did. It’s thick, incredibly juicy, and bursting with the rich flavors of lamb. Topped with melting blue cheese and served on a buttery roasted bun—I'm completely in love! Since it’s quite a drive, we’ll definitely try other dishes in the future, but I’m already planning to get another one of these burgers on my next visit, if we don’t eat here again first!

When you show up to eat on a Saturday of illumination at colonial Williamsburg you can expect a little confusion. Every employee was working hard! There was a line out the door to place an order. Our dog was with us so we had to sit outside but they offer outside seating so that was no problem. I ordered and the young lady read the order back. I guess I must have gotten confused because I ended up with an altered order or possibly I didn?t make my order clear? Who knows? It was so busy I was happy to get a meal! We got chicken strips and mack n cheese bites and fries and fries and fries and fries and shrimp. It was good! The atmosphere outside was excellent. The weather was nice. Live music...
