"This place is fantastic, good beer options and great food! Everything we ordered was delicious, especially my pulled pork sandwich served with some really good crispy fries. The ambiance is amazing, vibrant and fun. They have so much to do there. Ax throwing, they have a big climbing thing with ropes and even a floating picnic table. Arcade games for the kids and they even allow dogs in the outdoor patio area. The service was excellent and there is plenty of parking. I walked there through the river walk from the Peekskill Waterfront Park which gave us a good workout, approximately 40 minute each way. It provided a beautiful walking path along the Hudson River. Frankly I would have taken an Uber back but my friends insisted on walking, lol. I will be back during the summer to enjoy the place outside."

Always a delight! The server Adelmo was kind and accommodating. Zairo was also a gentleman, very helpful when we arrived and were searching for River Outhouse. Will be back soon for my wife's 96th!

The beer was warm and did not enjoy drinking from a plastic cup!! The chicken wings were gummy and the Irish nachos were soggy and cold . Considering the fact that the restaurant was empty the food was barely edible

Love River Outpost!! Great place for any kind of gathering; dinner with friends, date night, families, etc. They have options if you're gluten free celiac. I got the white pizza on cauliflower crust and the chopped salad. Service is always great. The outdoor bar is a must in the warmer months! Can't beat the view!! View menu

Just skip the BBQ menu at river outpost. Honestly I 'm surprised the chef is allowing this **** to leave the kitchen. Old dry ass brisket, over cooked and reheated. Tasteless, tough, and dry. Ribs sucked less but still sucked. Pickles and cole slaw were great. Menu says the wings are smoked, they are not smoked. Honestly pathetic BBQ food, go to Peekskill Smokehouse instead.

We had a large group of 20+ in our party to which I made a reservation in advance. We had lunch with a stunning view of the water and boats at the marina. The entire staff are friendly I have to give a shout out to our server Brianna, she was so sweet, checked in on us, went above and beyond and took great care of our party. There were plenty of great options to choose from and the food was delicious and cooked well!

I was only here once and only got to have one of their beers, but I'll probably go back again. First off the view is great and they have a good selection of beers. There's a ton of video games and such and its good for kids or a mixed kid and adult hangout where you don't watch your kids much. Actually in retrospect i did go back and had some good food too. There's also a wedding venue upstairs that occupied most of my time. View menu

The positives: Good ambiance. Good beer. The negatives: Terrible food. Absent service.Brisket sandwich was decent. Alas, that was it.Lobster roll special was overcooked and rubbery. Fish burrito was passable but actually had almost no fish. Huh? Kale salad with artichoke… couldn’t find the artichokes. Double huh? Side salad was drenched in dressing.Could have been great. Maybe an off night, but the food was just way substandard.

The beer is pretty good. The food isn't great. We had the pork nachos, and it seemed to be covered in Cheese Whiz. Many people were ordering pizza. That may be the way to go. We sat at an outdoor table near the bar. The view was beautiful, but the music was really bad and really loud. We had to yell to hear each other. They may have been trying to drown out the noise from the waste incineration plant next door or the music from the wedding upstairs. I wish they would lower the volume and play reggae music instead--or even some cool tiki bar music. That would be awesome. The restrooms were disgusting, but that may not be the staff's fault. There were a lot of kids.
