"I was excited to try Rock Brews for the first time for KC Restaurant week, that quickly changed after arriving. I’m not sure what this was about but when I walked in the guy Dan who would end up being our server was standing behind the bar talking to another employee. He looked right at me but did not come over to greet me until another group walked in, I was standing there at least 2 minutes alone. He walked up and continued to act like he didn’t notice I was standing there before the group after me walked in and asked them how many were in their party. We all told him I had been waiting already as if he didn’t know. The rest of my party showed so we were seated and Dan served us if you can call it that. He was short and rude, seemed a little off honestly. He was not at all attentive to our table and seemed to be put off when we asked questions about the menu or other things we needed. At the table he also seemed to continue to ignore me specifically just as he had done when I was waiting at the hostess stand so I still have no idea what that was about, I can speculate though. The food was good but I don’t think I will be back due to the poor service I received."

We loved the staff. They were very friendly with our almost 1 year old. The food was pretty good just very greasy.

The food was average and lacked flavor; a bit of salt and pepper could have made a significant difference. Unfortunately, the service wasn't great either. Although the restaurant didn't seem very busy, we waited quite a while for our drinks. The server appeared distracted and not very attentive to our needs.

Very very noisy with sports and TVs all over, but I think that's to be expected. The food was actually pretty good.....had burgers/fries and onion strings. Drinks were good too. Service, while good for the most party, seemed to be marginal w/a slight attitude. It was early on a Saturday night and they weren't busy, so I'm not sure what was up with that. I loved the memory of old rock concerts in the restaurant, I liked the music played. we tried three different appetizers, Brussels spears, loaded potato skins, and the Buffalo cauliflower and they did not disappoint, the portions were generous. for our entrees my man ordered the half slab baby back ribs that were amazing, I ordered the black chicken pasta and it was delicious. our oldest daughter ordered an Asian chicken salad and was very impressed by the taste and our youngest daughter ordered the fried steak and said that it was really good. we will go back.

Overall, it was not a bad experience. The food was really good, though it was quite loud; however, that was due to how busy the restaurant was, not a fault of theirs. I was disappointed that, despite having a reservation, we had to wait over 10 minutes for a table. This would have been less of an issue if I hadn’t been with someone who has a mobility challenge. There wasn’t even a place for us to sit while we waited, so my friend had to sit down as soon as a table became available, even though it hadn’t yet been cleaned. She was in a lot of pain, which made the whole situation even more frustrating. It was disappointing to deal with this wait despite having made a reservation in advance.
