We couldn't even open the window of the screen door due to the vile garbage smell and the swarm of flies, and there was no screen to keep them out. Both the bathroom and back window lacked locks and screens. We refrained from dining in the restaurant because the overflowing garbage bins were right in front of the open kitchen door, which also had no screen—flies were coming and going, along with a dog. Unclean and disrespectful! As soon as we entered, we were met with a rude greeting from an elderly customer. Although there were empty tables, they were still unwashed from the previous patrons, who had left over 20 minutes prior. We never encountered the server or bartender. It was just filthy all around. We definitely won't return! I'd prefer dining at Famous Dave's or the Red Light Garage, even after having experienced food poisoning there. The only redeeming aspect was the beautiful dog wandering around the parking lot, and the enormous chicken statue out front! Service: 1 Location: 3

Although we didn't stay at the resort, we had dinner there and it was a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, and the food was top-notch. I tried the mushroom Swiss burger, which was absolutely delicious. Our group also ordered the garlic cheese curds, and they were the best I've ever had. The prices were reasonable for the area, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We would love to return. The views of the lake are stunning, and there are tables by the lake where you can relax with a drink or a beer. Overall, I would rate the service and location a perfect 5 out of 5. View menu

This establishment truly shines because of its staff and service. The food at the bar is both tasty and hearty, and the breakfasts are particularly noteworthy. However, I wouldn't recommend staying overnight. During my visit, they turned off the water, and while they apologized for it the next morning, it was still quite inconvenient. Although the rooms are clean and reasonably comfortable, my mattress was oddly placed in a waterbed frame, making it a bit tricky to get in and out of bed. The staff took our order but seemed to forget to submit it. We ended up waiting over an hour for our food, and by the time everyone else had received theirs, the staff realized we hadn't been served. There was no apology or acknowledgment from them. The buffalo chips, which they advertised, were not what I expected. They resembled homemade potato chips, but there was no potato in them at all. Additionally, my children had a troubling experience last week at the lake when they saw the bartender taking appetizers off a customer's plate and eating them before serving the food. To make matters worse, a dog ran in and out of the so-called dining area and relieved itself on the carpet. Instead...

Upon entering, I noticed that the screen was not attached to the front door, making it impossible to keep it open for fresh air without letting in bugs. We tried to overlook that. In the bathroom, there was a vent window, but again, no screen. The walls had dead spiders, but we thought we could manage despite these issues. Then my wife went to take a shower. After just a couple of minutes, the cold water cut out, and only scalding hot water came out of the faucet, causing her to burn herself. I tried using the sink and encountered the same problem.
