"I have held off writing this review because we’ve been hopeful things would improve. Unfortunately they haven’t. After 5 years, today was our last visit. The waffle I had was ice cold. There is no way it was freshly made as the menu states. Butter would not melt on it. It had the taste of being in the refrigerator with other food. It was terrible. The fruit cup consisted of grapes and blueberries with two orange slices. In short, this not the Rendezvous Cafe we knew and loved every Sunday morning for the past five years. The breakfast items are not good and the new owners have removed several longtime favorites. The new additions, I have tried three, do not make it, especially the smoothie bowl. Don’t water your money. It was awful. The atmosphere that was once warm and cozy is now white, sterile and has no personality. Not to mention dust on the window ledge is so thick you can write your name. We were there for an hour this morning and were the only patrons sitting indoors the entire time. There were three tables seated outside when we left. Used to be it was always full on Sunday mornings. So sad. I can only wonder if the new owners are focused on lunch , dinner and wine business and breakfast is just a necessary evil. We continued to go because we loved the wait staff and the friendly, warm atmosphere. Still love the wait staff but the rest we can do without."
