"The butter beans are not your typical small green beans; they are large butter beans cooked with onions and plenty of bacon, making for a heavenly dish. All the sides are well-seasoned, making each bite delightful. The staff is professional and attentive, and they deserve good tips for their service. Although I've never had dessert because I often take home half my meal in a doggy bag, I hear they're good. You’ll find spices on the table, as well as butter and oil, although I noticed on my last visit that the butter was replaced with a butter paste. Breakfast is available all day and seems to be a good option for those interested. If you come here hungry, I recommend ordering two lunches!"

While traveling, came upon this place. Real southern home style cooking. I had catfish cooked just right. It came with 3 sides. All were too large portions and I could not eat them all. Not much atmosphere but would stop there again. Food was priced right.

Our Jen server was great. Friendly polite and professional. The food was really good. Even with the floor show of two people who didn't want to pay their bills, we enjoyed each other. The staff treated the situation politely and professionally. We're coming back!

Great southern-style landsen! Daily specials, with super friendly staff. Some of the best sweet tea in town! Depending on when you go, there might be a waiting time. If you go in the weekend night, there is a good chance that they come from some menu items. Worth it! View menu

While the food was what draws us to Southfield, the lighting and chairs need some loving/upgrades. That said, we appreciate a restaurant that still offers home cooked vegetables for those trying to make healthier choices. We had a party of 6 and all enjoyed the vegetable plate. Looking forward to seeing y'all again soon on our next trip to Bossier.

I have a couple of suggestions: it would be nice to have a variety of bread options available, and allowing customers to add real butter themselves would be a great improvement. Also, I noticed on Google Maps that your restaurant is labeled as fast food; it might be worth changing that, as it almost deterred us from coming. This place is truly offering some excellent home-cooked meals!

We had a fantastic experience with the southern cuisine – plenty of delicious food at an excellent price! While our waitress wasn’t very attentive, the other staff members were friendly and seemed to take good care of their customers. After our food and drinks were served, we didn’t see our waitress again to check on us. Despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely return if we’re in the area again. View menu

I went out for lunch with seven coworkers and we had a great experience. The service was prompt and the rustic atmosphere added to the charm of the place. I paid for both my daughter's meal and mine, which came to $37 for a shrimp platter and a burger special. The burger was enormous, and I enjoyed the delicious, freshly made onion rings that came with it. One of my coworkers accidentally received onion rings instead of sweet potato fries, but the waiter quickly brought out a fresh order of fries, and we were able to sample his onion rings too. The hush puppies were also very tasty. We’ll definitely be returning!

Fried fish was cooked prior to ordering and was overcooked. Husband ordered fried okra was cooked prior to ordering and was cold. I ordered fried okra got green beans. Coleslaw was swimming in dressing. Husband ordered fried squash. Had to cook it, brought to table when we had almost finished everything else. Service was average; lacked personality. This was our second time to eat here. First time was really good and service was very personable. This time was very disappointing. We pass through Bossier almost every Friday. There are many other locally owned restaurants to choose from on our route. So sorry Southfield Grill.
