Delicious Po-Jungs and Hushpuppies. One of the best southern restaurants I found during life in Vicksburg.

Got boudin balls, they were great and priced good. Atmosphere was really good, would definitely recommend stopping in and checking the place out.

I really enjoyed the Cajun and Southern cuisine at this restaurant. I ordered the gumbo and shrimp, and both were delicious and filling. However, I wish they offered a better selection of beers. Vicksburg definitely needs to embrace the craft beer trend! View menu

The restaurant itself is very laid-back. Whenever you walk through the door it is as if they have known you forever and they treat you like family. The food is reasonably priced. I had the swamp Burger, shrimp and fried mushrooms. All of which was very good. The swamp Burger was my favorite part of the meal and can only be described with one word. Amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody and everybody that I see and meet. Thank you guys so much for a great time. I will be back again and again until my job in this area is complete.

Speaking of the exterior, the restaurant has plenty of seating, making it a great spot for enjoying live music while you eat. T’Beaux offers a nice selection of Cajun and Creole soups, including two types of gumbo, bisque, étouffée, and red beans and rice. The BBQ options are also good. I found the two types of rubbery bears to be on the thinner side; while they are authentically New Orleans style, they're just not to my taste. However, the étouffée was surprisingly thick, creamy, and delicious. As for the BBQ, it’s decent. I tried the combo platter with brisket and sausage and would have preferred more sausage and less brisket. I also wish the sides (I chose beans and coleslaw) were a bit...

I tried the Cajun fries, which were decent. They resembled French fries topped with what seemed like brisket (though it mostly tasted like pot roast) and cheese sauce. I'm not a huge fan of poutine, so my opinion may not be the most helpful, but I didn’t particularly enjoy the combination; it was quite salty, though I do like salt. The chicken sausages were good! My only complaint is that they were a bit greasy, with a layer of fat floating on top. For reference, I do eat a lot of fast food; I usually dab off the excess fat from McDonald's sausage patties before eating them, but this was on the greasy side even for my taste.
