"Atmosphere and venue were great as most reviewers wrote. However, we were disappointed with the menu and service. The cornbread fritters lacked seasoning. You get some hints of the jalapeno and sweetness from the glaze but overall they were somewhat dry and bland. Banh 'Merica suggests that it 's a play on a Banh Mi but the sandwich left you feeling heavy due to the aioli. It was missing the freshness of the Asian elements due to the under use of cilantro and pickled vegetables. When the Depot Burger (ordered medium) arrived at the table, the bun was cold, the beef patty was dry and cooked well done. Service: our server was attentive but we had to request that our water bottle be refilled. The first time he left with our bottle but never returned with another one. We ended asking another server to get us water. He also asked my wife if she ordered a drink a couple of times but she never placed drink order or indicated she wanted one. This place has promise. I 'll come back but maybe just for a drink for now."

This is our second time at this place. The food and the service were both way worse than they were the first time we were there. It's a really cool place if only they could get their act together.

My boyfriend and I just dined here for a quick lunch. Sat at one of the open tables in the bar area and absolutely loved the atmosphere. The bartender was friendly and knowledgable about their food and beer menu. We went with the chicken sandwich and I can easily say it was one of the best I've ever had! SO FRESH! With jalapeños, bacon and avocado. Mm!!! Their fries were delicious and their bbq sauce and ketchup paired perfectly. We also ended up buying a growler of their Voyager IPA because it blew me away. Great taste and the perfect hoppy brew. We will definitely be back and be bringing our family and friends. I highly recommend this place. Thanks guys!

When seeking a place to celebrate the New Year, overall cost is certainly expected to be more than a usual night. The Depot promised a reasonable price for food that seemed interesting, and paired with special choice beers $60-80 . However, the appetizer grilled endive salad was very bitter and lacked flavor; the salad included pears that were seasoned well, but quite hard in texture. The accompanying pheasant was very dry and looking around the room, it seemed everyone was experiencing the same disappointment. Dry pheasant on dry noodles was tough to get down. However, the entree was a roasted acorn squash with curried risotto and that dish had a lot of flavor. The desert was a bland white...

"Last night I experienced the most unscrupulous experience I have ever had with a restaurant with the service at the Wok. I am so offended by their actions; I can say we are honestly done with visiting the restaurant in the future. I’ll start with we have been getting dinner on our way out of town every month or so from the Wok for years. Their food is generally very good, but we have had a few times where the food missed the mark. Everyone has an off day so we keep going back, until last night. Their online ordering did not work, so my wife called in an order while I was driving through Reno and I stopped by to pick it up. There was a little confusion when I arrived as they ahad three to go orders on the counter. It seemed they worked everything out and I paid for the order and left to head home. Twelve minutes later I get a call. It’s the Wok and they tell me they had given me the wrong order and asked if I could return. The employee apologized profusely and since we wanted what we ordered, I went back. I arrived at the restaurant and took the order they had provided back in and they checked the bags. The cashier told me she charged me the wrong amount as she had rung up the wrong order. I asked what the difference was (first bill was $63.00 for four entrees and some potstickers) and was told the new total was $94.00. The last order we had was for the same items and was just under $70, so $94 was a shock. The cashier told me she had told my wife the wrong amount and apologized. She also offered a $10 discount. I paid the bill and said I would wait for our food. Much to my shock, I watched them empty the items they had given me, place it on the counter and everything was what we ordered. One entrée had spilled when they took it out and they quickly put it in another bag and then with a big smile handed me the items I already had. I said, “so my order was correct but the amount you charged was wrong?” I asked why did you lied to me to get me to come back. I was told that I would not have paid if they did not lie about why I needed to come back. I was incredulous and decided the best thing to do was to just leave. So, 35 minutes after I left the first time, I was on my way again. Once I got home, II asked my wife what the total was that they provided when she called in the order. She said they specifically told her they did not have a total and I would provide that to me when I picked up the food. Yet another lie. I tallied up my items and came up with a total of $68.75, certainly less than what I originally paid, but clearly not the $94.00 they tried to charge. So tonight, I called and ordered the same items and was told the order would be $76.57, yet a different amount. I promptly told them no thank you. Most restaurants would honor their mistake. With that said, if they called and told me I paid the wrong amount, I would have made it right. But instead, they lied to me, clearly tried to overcharge me and then gave me a discount that was still more than the price for the same food 24 hours later. Their actions were inappropriate, uncalled for and unscrupulous. Over the last year, we visited this restaurant 10 times, but last night was the last time they get any business from us."
