"We left and returned again at 4:15. This time, the same woman we had spoken to before acted as if she didn’t recognize us at all. There was no greeting or acknowledgment; she simply said, "We’re all out of food except for a tray of turkey and some gravy." I thought she must be joking and questioned how this could happen. How had other customers received their food while we were left waiting all afternoon? She mentioned they had plenty of macaroni and cheese, which wasn’t even on our order and wasn’t what we wanted. I couldn’t believe it. As I grasped the reality of the situation, I felt tears streaming down my face. I repeatedly asked how our food could have been given away and why we hadn’t been notified instead of making three trips back and forth. Her response was simply, "I was too busy." This is no way to run a business. Although some of the other staff attempted to apologize, it felt hollow at this point. I had people to cook for, and finding out 2.5 hours after my scheduled pickup time that they couldn’t provide the food was utterly ridiculous. Instead of enjoying my birthday, I ended up food shopping and prepping a meal that should have been ready for us. To make matters worse, throughout our questioning and arguing, the chef remained seated, saying absolutely nothing. There was no eye contact, no explanations, no apologies—just silence. This restaurant was disorganized, unprofessional, and incredibly disappointing. I will never return. It was supposed to be a special family tradition, and it turned into a major letdown while I was trying to support a small business."

This was one of the most delicious and delightful experiences I've ever had, and I'm usually a tough critic! I've only been there once, but I already feel like a regular! The food was exceptional, and the service was absolutely fantastic.

7/10/22 The Soup Bar owned by Chef Eddie, catered a luncheon for our 80 guests. The roasted pork Sandwiches and chicken franchise was beyond amazing as well as all of our pasta sides! He went above and beyond to make everything perfect!! I highly recommend and cannot wait to use him for our next event. View menu

Rating is based SOLEY on their hummus they were selling at the farmers market. They definitely need to stick with soup only. It was chunky with loads of chickpeas unprocessed and chickpea skin throughout. I'm all about supporting small business and that is why I purchased the Nutella hummus for TEN dollars. This is more of a direct message for Soup Bar to fix that recipe if they intend to keep making it. Really upset I wasted $10.

I ordered the roasted tomato soup, and while it was decent, it didn't blow me away. The main issue, however, is that it's quite overpriced; it certainly doesn't justify a $10 price tag. (By the way, they should update their menu—it's $10 for a bowl of soup, except for the crab bisque at $13 and the crab cakes at $15 each.) On a positive note, the restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. Just a heads up, they close at 2:45 PM on Thursdays, which could be worth re-evaluating. View menu

While visiting the Moorestown area I was lucky enough to try the jumbo lump crab cakes that came highly recommend by one of the nurses. To my amazement, one bite is all it took to bring me back to nostalgia, where I worked at a high class Italian restaurant and the head chef would always make me create and type up the specials of the day, that being jumbo lump crab cakes. It was one if my favorite dishes served as an appetizer. But here at the Soup Bar it is served with grilled cheese and I was so delighted when I tasted how fresh it was. I will be coming here more often! 2 thumbs up!

Upon returning at 3:40 PM, with only one other customer in the store, we found out they were still out of mashed potatoes and had to wait for a fresh batch to be prepared. To our dismay, we were also informed that they had run out of sweet potatoes. After the mashed potatoes were finally ready, they prioritized orders from other customers who had arrived after us, and then had the audacity to tell us that they were out of mashed potatoes once again. It was unacceptable that other orders were filled before ours, especially since we had already paid for our dinner. The owner exhibited no concern whatsoever, which was especially disappointing given that this wasn't their first year selling Tha...
