"6 out of 5 stars! Best Mexican restaurant I've been to in Austin! They make all chips and tortillas FRESH! The salsa is incredible, not watery at all, very thick with good char, not too spicy either, and they give a generous portion. They also serve ranch on the side with your chips. The tables are very nice, this is a well maintained, clean, decorative interior perfect for celebrations. Service is fast and very professional with genuine friendliness. The plates are extremely generous, a huge amount of food, very surprising that the price isn't much higher given the sheer quantity of food, that tells you that they are so successful because of the QUALITY that they are ABLE to be generous with you. This place is amazing and I will be recommending this place to everyone. Thank you. (Plato Charro pictured)."

Have been here twice now, and it was even better the second time. The meat is juicy and tender, the tortillas are fresh made, and the salsa and queso are delicious. Also, the service is fast! And the servers are lovely.

I really enjoy this restaurant. The food is consistently great, and the staff are very friendly. Although it’s a bit on the pricey side, I believe it’s worth it. The portion sizes are generous as well. I will definitely keep coming back!

A great venue for family dining. Ample indoor seating, plus an outdoor patio area that is adjacent to a playground. Perfect setting to let kids expand energy while parents can chill knowing their little ones are safe. Solid Mexican dishes. A nice cocktail menu. All at reasonable prices.

Excellent place. Good margaritas. Massive amounts on food on every plate. Great salsa. Great queso. You can also get pancakes for kids at lunch. I had the El Charro. The guys in our family are well known for cleaning our plates and neither of us could do that. Will also skip supper, because yeah? And there is a kids play ground outside. View menu

The service was fantastic! Every staff member was incredibly friendly. I adored the decor, including the charming details on the patio fence. Although the food took a little while to arrive, it was fresh, warm, and absolutely worth the wait. The platter we ordered was large enough for my husband and me to share, with some leftovers to take home. We really enjoyed the new patio and can’t wait to return and experience the live music they’ve added!

I have visited this restaurant twice, and both times the service has been excellent! The food at the Sunday Brunch Buffet is very good and fresh. The selection is extensive and full of flavor! I can't speak highly enough about the incredibly courteous staff! (See pictures) I enjoyed the green chili gravy, homemade biscuits, migas, pork with chili roja, handmade tortillas, tres leches pancakes, banana foster French toast, and golden pancakes. Everything was wonderful!

Our friends took us to Vaqueros and I regret we haven?t been there earlier. Mexican food at its best! ?? Food was amazing. Steak Fajita is by far the best I?ve ever had. Portions are huge. Dips, chips, salsa, queso, house made tortillas.. ? You basically can not go wrong here. Frozen Rita is also outstanding. ? Staff is kind. They have lots of room, inside and outside. Also a kids playground at the back garden. I sure will come more and try rest of their menu as soon as I can. Hats off! ? View menu

Austin is famous for its fantastic dining options, and the Sunday brunch buffet at Vaqueros is no exception. If you haven't had the chance to visit, make sure to add it to your must-try list. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, frequently checking in on us and ensuring our drinks were always full. The buffet area was very clean, and with staff serving the food, you don't have to worry about anyone else's hands in it. The selection was outstanding, showcasing dishes that were clearly prepared with care—from traditional breakfast items to Mexican-style dishes, barbecue chicken, and the to-die-for tres leches pancakes! Typically, I gravitate towards Moonshine when I'm in Austin, b...

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
