"This place is located inside the Stanford Cancer center. As soon as you walk in, you will see it right behind the stairs next to the radiology department. There's some tables and chairs right in the front so you won't miss it. This cafe gets super busy in the early morning and lunch time and the line sometimes goes out the door... the wait time can take up to 15 20 minutes during those peak hours. They have a good selection of sandwiches and my favorite is the Pesto chicken panini. Their drinks are also pretty good! i have tried their iced coffee, iced white mocha and their frappes! My favorite is their white mocha frappe and mint chip cookies frappe. They also have a bunch of pastries in the morning but they run out fast.. i only see cookies left in the afternoon. And lastly, i found my new favorite kettle cooked chips here! It's the Deep River Chips brand and oh man.. the Maui Onion flavor is the one! They have a variety of all the other flavors and it goes so well with my panini sandwich. This is a convenient place for lunch for employees and patients who don't want to walk across to the main hospital to get food."

The empanada should have been crispy, but it was soft and overcooked in the microwave. The staff seemed to look at me as if I were a difficult customer, which felt unfair. It's frustrating to be stereotyped. Although the empanada appeared good at first glance, it was disappointing in taste, much like the attitude of the staff. Overall, it was a letdown.

I finally had the opportunity to stop by while waiting for my dad, who was on a date. I ordered a cappuccino and a variety of bagels. The cappuccino was quite good, but make sure you specify the right size, as they didn't get my coffee order quite right. The bagel was excellent, but be aware that the place is very small—much smaller than what you'd find in San Jose.
