"I absolutely love the food at Applebee's. I visit the Shirley location several times a year from Lindenhurst. Every time I go to Applebee's, I have one request - to have my salad chopped into small pieces. During a recent visit to the Shirley Applebee's with a friend for dinner, the waiter was fantastic and friendly. The manager even came to our table to ensure everything was okay. I mentioned my salad request and he personally chopped it himself due to the busy night. We had informed the waiter that we needed a quiet spot as it was our final meeting before my friend left New York. We spent about two and a half hours there and left a generous tip for the attentive service. Overall, I frequent Applebee's in Shirley and have no complaints about the food. My only minor complaint is that when ordering takeout, you should double check for utensils and condiments as they may forget to include them due to the busyness. However, this is a small issue compared to the overall positive experience of enjoying good food with good friends and great service at Applebee's."
