"I was really looking forward to enjoying a good Montana cheeseburger, but what I got was a disappointing experience. The burger was overcooked and dry, resembling a poorly made, frozen patty. It was meant to come with jalapeño cream cheese, but instead, it was bland and watery, more like tasteless mayonnaise. While the fries were decent, they didn't taste fresh and could easily have been from a supplier like Sysco, similar to what you'd find at any fast-food joint. Given the charming historic setting of the town, I expected much better quality food. The patio heaters inside were uncomfortably hot, burning my arm and forcing me to ask for a seat change. It feels like a tourist spot that doesn't prioritize good food or the lovely weather we enjoy. Overall, I paid $22 for a burger that didn't deliver at all."

The cheesecake I had was the best I've ever tasted, and the drinks were excellent too!

Delicious food and excellent service! The ambiance is fantastic! There are games in the yard, including horseshoes and cornhole.

I am very disappointed. The prices have increased, and the quality of the food has significantly declined. I do not recommend dining there.

Absolutely love the new menu. It's not cheap, but it also doesn't taste cheap. Would be great for a date night or to just splurge. Wait staff was very friendly and fun. View menu

This is a fun spot to visit and enjoy a meal. We went there this past weekend and chose to sit in the open-air dining area, which was bright and sunny. The meatloaf was fantastic—definitely a must-try. Overall, this is a great place to eat! Plus, parking is convenient.

We love the 406 Saloon. We've been here lots of times, and the food and the servers are always great! Our fav beer Irish Death is on tap, and that alone makes it worth the drive there. When there is a chill in the air out, they always have a warm fire. Nicole has to be our favorite server.

I would rather waste my money than spend it at 406 Saloon instead of Big Cat Cafe. I was hired as a caterer for a local wedding, and they created a scene with the bride and groom right in the middle of the ceremony. It's astonishing how unprofessional, unethical, and inconsiderate some people can be. These out-of-state businesses with poor food and service are part of the problem. If you care about our valley, I recommend avoiding this place. View menu

We had an excellent waitress but her partner insisted that we listen to country music WFO. I asked twice to turn down the music and they did for a few minutes but as soon as we left they were right back to full volume. I think they need to decide if they want to be a restaurant or a night club. The food was excellent and so was the huckleberry cheesecake. The service was great and consistent but they never mentioned the fact that they were right down the road from Yellowstone Dutton Ranch? I could sense that no locals are proud of that fact? It's made them famous and they should be appreciative of the business.

Wish google would offer a negative star option, but only for the 406 saloon. Imagine having the audacity to confront the bride and groom on their wedding day moments after the reception dinner then up and leaving moments later because not enough people are buying drinks. The definition of unprofessional, reprehensible and rude all while charging $9 for a single at a make shift bar providing bottom shelf liquor. If you have an important event coming up and want to make a mockery of yourself while insulting the pocket books of your guests I highly suggest hiring 406 saloon. I hope they respond to this review and do their best to make amends after causing a scene on someone 's best day of their...

"I would like to personally congratulate the owner, Tony, on being the single reason why this is NOT getting a decent review. We arrived for a party on Saturday, with a reservation for a large group. Unfortunately, due to the weather, not everyone was going to make it, but the hostess in the group celebrating her birthday , let the servers know in the beginning that not everyone would be there, and mentioned it would probably be about 12 instead of 20. We cannot control the weather or other people. It would have been possible at that time to remove some tables from our group, but it wasn 't until a little while later that they did take one of the tables away. Even up until we were almost done, there were 3 other people who were supposedly on their way. I do not know them, and I do not know at this point whether or not they 'd had an accident, or whatever reason may have kept them from joining us. Fast forward 2 2.5 hours; we had eaten, we enjoyed ourselves, and the servers had been attentive. We already had our to go containers and were only waiting for the check at that point. Then Tony who hadn 't shown his face up until this point basically lays into us for not following the rules, and that we were seated without the whole party being there *not the guest 's fault* and they need us to go so we could free up the tables for other guests. Look, I get it. It 's a Saturday, probably your busiest night, and it 's a tiny spot, so space is at a premium, BUT we were LITERALLY about to pay $500+ and go and he not only embarrassed the hostess, but he made an absolute spectacle while doing it. Everyone was uncomfortable. The guests, the servers, other diners. But when I mentioned he could have handled it better, he not only agreed with me, but he also then DOUBLED DOWN on being a tool and escalated the situation to the point that the gentlemen in our group each got up to speak their minds as well. In ALL of my years in restaurants and management, I have NEVER spoken to a guest/customer in that manner, even if they deserved some sort of reprimand, and I would never have allowed another manager to speak to a guest that way. I guess being the owner makes Tony exempt from basic decency. In hospitality, it is one thing to get a customer in the door, but it is another to keep them coming back. Some of the party attendees were repeat customers, but I guarantee you, none of us will ever return here again. I 'm sure he 'll have something to say about this. He 's the type of narcissistic person that will not admit to their wrongdoing and will continue to double down on how he was right and we were wrong. And shall we throw in the fact that most of the table was not your color? I 'm sure it could have been different if we 'd all been the same shade. Tony, I hope you are happy with the fact that your awful behavior affected way more than just a couple of people that night. Have the day you deserve."
