"I'm not going over the price. that's it. the service was very good. our waiter was super friendly, friendly and funny. the host was very polite. I also liked eating and the atmosphere that had a rustic feeling with bear theme in every corner. their signature hot sauces are a series of papa, mama and baby brand each in different aromes. I chose the baby hot sauce on my california omelette, pleasant it was not too hot. the kitchen area was very clean and organized. these people know what they do. the mood was relaxing and beautiful. I enjoyed it and would come back."

This is my go-to spot for breakfast, but you can also enjoy lunch or dinner here at any time. The restaurant is clean and, best of all, the service is excellent.

Legit American food in the bay area which is a rare find. Love that some dishes come in smaller 'little less ' options. Great range of pies too. Tried the coconut cream which was not too sweet. Kid friendly, provides cranyons and puzzles for the little ones.

Ordered takeout for Bear's choice and wasn't even giving syrup for the pancakes. I didn't realize that I'd have to pay an extra $4 for whipped cream (and strawberry). I wonder how much I'd need to pay for some syrup or butter. At least the pancakes are good. View menu

We went to Father's Day. My father and son both ordered the father Burger As you can, these burgers were HUGE! My son was in love. The funny thing was to watch him, try to open his mouth big enough to eat it. My dad couldn't stop him. My daughter ordered Steak. Medium rare. Yum! Service was great!

a wonderful place for traditional brunch. out there people waited when we were there. they told us that the waiting period would be 15 minutes (smaller than expected) and it was in the did. the eating was generous and very nice. the service was good, even if it seemed that they were just little personal. we are still in the middle of the covid and this is something we have learned (or should learn) to understand and to be patient. the good food was waiting for that.

A wonderful place for traditional brunch. There were people outside waiting when we got there. They told us the wait would be 15 minutes (shorter than we expected) and it was indeed. The food was of generous portion and very nicely done. The service was good even though it seemed that they're short on staff. We're still in the middle of COVID and this is something we've learned (or should try and learn) to understand and be patient about. The good food made up for the wait. View menu

I enjoy the unique menu presentation as a two-page newspaper. The service was a bit slow during my first visit on a Saturday lunch, but the restaurant wasn't too crowded. The interior decor is nice and gives the feeling of dining at a diner in Lake Tahoe. The kids' menu offers reasonably priced and well-portioned meals. As I was leaving, I noticed the jukebox and wished I had seen it sooner so I could play some tunes. Overall, it's a cool and casual family dining experience.

4Star BIG WELCOME BACK, BLACK BEAR! Our Families love dining at Black Bear. We used to drive far to Milpitas for dining. When the Sunnyvale location opened up in 2016, we were excited n took the whole family out for lunch. But it was TERRIBLE! Foods didn’t taste the same or worse! We went back a few more times n gave up afterward. 4 years have passed n we thought to give BB another try. To our delight, foods taste delicious n fresh! Now we dine here every month. WELCOME BACK, BB! N THANK YOU! ps. BB please improve on steaks n ribs. Thanks!

"Great place, great food. My family and I go here regularly as the rest of them are vegetarian. Merit successfully breaks the stereotype that vegan food protein is missing, and that the only thing that vegans eat is salads and is hands down one of the best restaurants in Santa Clara County. Food: I had most of their menus and it never disappointed me. The variety of specials they always leave something new to try to bring me back. Some of their dishes lack gravity and can be very dry, so if you order more than one dish, make sure that at least one engraving has. My favorites are the Spicy Delight and the Golden era, of which I would highly recommend to get if you have never before in Merit. Your desserts are all milk-free and ice-free, but you really can't say it; my vegan dessert exploits cannot hold a candle to the cakes they bake. However, they are frozen and in a refrigerator in the dining area that I really do not like to see, but at least they are open about it. Service: Service is always fast and all service employees are familiar with the menu. All waiting times are reasonable and I have never been hungry to regret the waiting period. Staff really try to help what I can't say about many of the restaurants I was. The ambience: nothing to complain. Everything is well lit, and there is always enough room to eat. Overall: If you are looking for a vegan restaurant that is slightly different than usual, or just a good restaurant in general, Merit is and always at the top of my list!"
