"His lack of courtesy is alarming, and some of the other staff members display similar behavior. On one occasion, a coworker was only five cents short for his purchase, and Arty refused to let him have the item. It’s disheartening, especially since we are frequent customers, which makes me regret returning. He doesn't offer the level of customer service that should be expected when spending money at a business. They fail to greet customers or accommodate simple requests, treating the arrival of patrons as if their service isn't crucial for keeping the business afloat. Additionally, the food is overpriced and not worth the cost. It’s often dry and overcooked, though they do have good soup. Overall, I cannot recommend this establishment, as the manager and some staff are consistently rude and unappreciative of their customers. This community needs a new business that respects and values its patrons to replace this one."

My go-to sandwich shop! They serve the most delicious turkey sandwiches and the best peanut butter cookies.

Fan of this place. I used to get their Tony's Bomba back when they catered via Fooda. Now that I WFH, I've ordered them for breakfast sandwiches consistently. The best I've had so far. View menu

I placed a pickup order through DoorDash, and it was ready in just 10 minutes. It was incredibly fast and convenient to get in and out. Everything tasted fresh, and the prosciutto was of excellent quality! Highly recommend!

When this store was located next to BVLGARI on Michigan Avenue, it was the go-to spot for my Italian-style celebrations. They offer cookie bread-like paninis, delicious fried soup balls, creamy Havarti squares, fortified wine, a complete grocery store, pantry essentials, and, of course, coffee. If you're in Chicago, this is a must-visit place!

Another great work lunch delivery through Fooda. Tony's Bomba is the way to go and is piled high enough to please the boss big Tone marone! The focaccia bread tasted as fresh as can be and the sandwich was the perfect size. Also ordered the lemon cookies (very good) and a Pellegrino to make a great meal. Thanks to Fooda and Cafe L'Appetito for a great lunch to shake up a boring work day. View menu

I currently live in Alabama, but I was able to order cookies from this place thanks to the owner. She kindly emailed me a link to place my order. I went ahead and ordered two dozen cookies, which she carefully weighed, packaged, and shipped via UPS, providing me with a tracking number as well. My sister sends me some of these cookies every Christmas, and they are always delicious. They are honestly the best cookies I've ever had. You should definitely give them a try—you won't be disappointed!

I've eaten here three times hoping that there will be some improvement. In theory, this is the perfect lunch spot for me: it's near my apartment, quick, and relatively affordable. In practice, none of that makes up for the quality of the food. The first two sandwiches I bought were incredibly dry, which was very surprising given that the second one was a meatball sub covered in marinara. The third one, a panini, was absolutely mangled when I opened up the package. Making a decent ~5 ingredient Italian sandwich should not be this challenging.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
