"This was our first visit, and it definitely won’t be our last! The cream of crab soup was the best I've ever had. The crab dip surpassed all my expectations, packed with generous pieces of real crab meat. Served in a crispy bread bowl, it was absolutely amazing. I only managed to get a small taste of the crab cake because my husband couldn’t get enough of it. It was so flavorful that it required no additional toppings! I wish we lived closer because this place deserves more than just a five-star rating, and I would gladly make it a regular spot. Our server, Al, was friendly and entertaining, providing prompt service and keeping our drinks full. He even treated us to some samples. The service was swift, and the atmosphere was lovely. We truly enjoyed our experience! We’re so glad we decided to visit Frederick today and found this hidden gem. I know I’ll be craving it for a while!"

The food and our server Erin were fantastic. Would definitely go back and try more of their menu. Very happy.

Amazing experience. Jess was the best server and the food was to die for. I am visiting from out of town but will definitely come back again when I'm over this way.

It was great to see Callahan's reopen with a nice shaded outdoor dining addition. Doing great after only being open a couple of days. Crab cake on point as always nice lump meat. View menu

The steak was cold and didn’t look much like a strip steak. I was charged $30.99 for it. My sweet potato was overcooked and mushy. The crab cake tasted off; it just lacked any real flavor.

Overall, I found most of the meal to be quite enjoyable; however, the fish was undercooked. I alerted my server, who took it back to the kitchen. The chef claimed it was fully cooked, but I disagreed. I eventually took the fish home and refried it in my own batter, which made it fully cooked and very tasty.

Some of the things here are fantastic. Crab cakes, burgers, awesome. The onion rings are some of the best you 'll ever have. I 've had a steak from here a few times and it was just okay--they also skew heavily towards rare if you order medium rare, as a heads-up. Most of the things here are really good, if a bit overpriced. Good service, too. View menu

This was our second time dining there, and the food was just as amazing as during our first visit. Everything was fresh and delicious! We invited some friends this time because we had such a great experience before, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is outstanding, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It's truly a perfect combination! This is a restaurant that everyone should try.

I hadn't been to Callahan in years, usually just popping in for drinks after work. Recently, I found some coupons and decided to go back for a meal. The food was incredible! I completely agree with a previous review that fries should definitely be included with the price of a burger. I ordered a platter that came with two sides: fried oysters and a fish, along with the best cream of *** soup I've ever tasted! I also got fries, which I shared with my granddaughter to go along with her burger and chips. The staff was outstanding; I felt well cared for during my visit.

"Every Wednesday and Thursday there is a great deal at the bar their burger, fries, and a beer for 20 dollars, so obviously I had to go. A steal! FYI only one beer is served for the deal. It 's Hank from Olde Mother Brewing Co. which was a 16oz light lager. All three of us loved the burger which was huge: two patties, thick cut bacon, pickles, onions, cheddar cheese, and a burger sauce, yum yum yum! The fries have old bay seasoning, and ya know... Maryland, amiright? They were served with ketchup and the burger sauce. The two people who came with me didn 't care for the beer, but that 's only because they aren 't beer people. I slurped mine up (and my partner 's and thought it was perfect with the burger. We also ordered new seasonal dessert items, which were pecan pie with maple ice cream and pumpkin cheesecake with grape sorbet. We couldn 't resist! The bartender and a waitress were raving about the pecan pie, and yes, it was really delicious. I loved the maple ice cream. I had the pumpkin cheesecake which was so soft and delicate. I 'm not a huge Concord grape fan but I ate all of the sorbet like a dehydrated person who was stranded on an island. It was very refreshing and cut through the fattiness of the cheesecake perfectly. The waiter was very nice and attentive! The bar was very clean and poppin ' and had people either taking advantage of the burger deal or eating other things from the menu. It did get loud at some points, which is expected because it was the bar, however(! there were no obnoxious drunk people killing the vibe. PS: I unfortunately didn 't take any photos this time. Sorry!"
