"It started off well; the server was polite and came to us for our appetizer order within 5 or 10 minutes. Another server then came over shortly afterward and was rather pushy about us ordering our entrees. He kept trying to push me to ask what I was deciding between and I was trying give a subltle hint that we weren't ready. He stormed off. We then waited for over an hour before having to call the original server over to order; and experienced the full attitude. I guess they decided to punish me for wanting to have an unrushed experience at their establishment. They could not hide their discontent. As a former manager, server, bartender and catering manager for almost 15 years, I know the type. The phony smile, the curt and dismissive tone everything. It's the common thread they think they know everything and have no patience for people. I still left a substantial tip because I'm not petty; and I understand how difficult the job can be. But I also know that I left the business because I could no longer be the kind of person I wanted to be; polite! The food was fantastic but the service, collectively was not pleasant. Even the busboys seem to be influenced by them, to their detriment. They could not even manage to be nice either. I'd never go back and I will not recommend it to anyone. No meal is ever good enough to sacrifice your dignity. So I reluctantly cannot recommend dining here, only due to the unwelcoming collective attitude from the front of the house."

The pork chop was awesome. The duck was good, but fatty.

I ended up at Chef Fredy's because I was staying at the Hyatt across the street. I went in the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday. I was starving and didn't realize it was on the fancier side. I arrived in my sweatpants and was out of place, but they didn't kick me out. There were a couple large groups there. I was seated right away. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I ordered the blood orange salad with crab cake. It took quite some time to come out of the kitchen but once I finally got it, it was super good. I would definitely come here again (without sweatpants next time).

"We found the portion sizes to be a bit small, especially since we were a party of four, but that’s understandable. I particularly enjoyed the shaved Brussels salad (without blue cheese); it was delicious and made the visit worthwhile. The flavors were well balanced, and the miso dressing was tasty and addictive. I highly recommend this dish to everyone! The burrata was decent given the price, although it came with some not-so-pretty sour strawberries—something outside the restaurant's control, perhaps. There were also minimal chili flakes on the dish, and while there were more pieces of bread than shown in the photo, with four of us at the table, there wasn't much to share. That said, the burrata paired nicely with the Brussels salad. The calamari was crispy and best enjoyed while hot, though those who tried it said they wouldn’t order it again. For dessert, we shared tres leches, which was tasty, and they kindly added a candle for my friend. One highlight of the meal was the drinks; I’d definitely return to sample more. The "Let's Get Fizzical" was delicious and perfectly crafted. I was hesitant about a drink made with egg whites, but it turned out great. The "Evening Prayers" was also good and quite strong, which is to be expected when mixing vodka, gin, and wine. Additionally, I noticed the restaurant offers brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, and I’d be interested in trying some items from their brunch menu, but overall, my experience was pretty average."
