"Based on other reviews we thought this sounded like a place to try. Showing up, it's in a shopping plaza which a better location would be better but oh well. Walking in it has some nice trophy fish and wildlife which were nice along with some older nostalgic photos from early bell County which was neat. The ceiling was opposite tho with just the original drop ceiling and plain recessed lighting. Some of the ceiling tile had water damage that could easily be replaced improving the appearance. The booth seats are nice polished wood with some cushions that were aged and worn a bit with a used, not dirty tho, looking table. The lady that seated us was very sweet and very quick to get us to a booth. Our server came out quickly and got our drink orders and ended up taking our appetizer order of white wings which were bacon wrapped around a chicken breast filled with cheese and a small jalepeno in the middle. Let me tell you, those were amazing! The table bread was also delicious as well with both butter and cinnamon butter. We noticed our server was very quick w our order, but was also very short and not personable at all. It was like a race to get away after any interaction. I ordered the 3 meats of turkey, bbq beef and brisket with a salad and loaded mashed potatoes. I immediately poured the potatoes out to mix them up to eat them and that's where the first disappointment occurred sadly. I'm assuming there was just far too much sour cream with a little bacon and green onions and a little potatoes that weren't hot enough to melt the large amounts sour cream. The cheese couldn't melt and essentially it was like eating mouthfuls of sour cream. A couple of bites in different spots and all the same result, no problem I just won't eat them. I started working on the meat. In all honesty, there is very little difference in the meats at different bbq places which isn't bad cause they are all delicious. What makes the places different are the different sauces, the ambience of the place, the staff and maybe even the plate. So the meat was good, nothing different or disappointing, it was just delicious bbq as you would expect. Their sauce tho does taste unique and does have a nice flavor to it. We usually get an appetizer, entree and dessert. We didnt get the chance this time sadly. We weren't asked for refills and while we were still working on our food, the server already brought us the check and 2 to go boxes. That made our mind up for us unfortunately. Although this wasn't a great experience, it was still better than the best day at an Applebee's."

This place has some good food-my finacé always on the lookout for bbq. I had some catfish so good and some okra... he had the triple meat platter which he enjoyed very much. Beans didn't have any flavor coleslaw was good. Whenever we're in the area we wil be back to dine in.

I enjoyed the Welsfilets and Fritten. The taste was light, not fishy or greasy. My daughter had the children's sausage plate. She liked potatoes and green beans, but was not too sharp on the sausage. I tried a few slices. It was also not very tasteful with the sauce. Maybe it should be mild for the kids. There were also her gas-so-cables over it!

Delicious, hot food. Good size shares for a decent price. Clean and cozy environment. Friendly employees feel like home. Rolls are so soft and delicate. Served with regular butter and cinnamon butter that melts in the mouth. Got the chicken onion basket and single meat plate with brisket, roasted Okra and frits. Barbecue sauce is sweet and some spice, served hot. View menu

Been 2 times now and both times have been really good. Friendly staff. We had the delicious chicken fingers and steak fingers and most recently cheeseburgers. All really prepared well. Nice clean roomy dining room. Only thing I would say on burgers is to serve green lettuce. Not white iceberg. Also my Chicken finger salad was 75% white lettuce. What a waste. Come on Clem. Do better. Will be back.

The only thing I was disappointed in was when we were shown to a booth to be seated. The booth had not been cleaned after the last customer. There were crumbs on both benches. The waitress only wiped one off, with a wet rag, but didn't dry it off before we sat down. The food was actually good. If I was to return to this establishment, it would be earlier in the day and not two hours before closing.

Good overall flavor and variety. Good atmosphere, and friendly staff, attentiveness understandably depends on how busy it is. Small bar, providing some drink options if you prefer a beer w/ your BBQ. A little different from other Texas BBQ. 1-3 meat plates. House sausage is unique in a good way. Other options like grilled pork chops, and fried catfish. Good selection of southern sides. Fried okra is crisper corn meal breading. Coleslaw is dairy based, and on the fresher side. Large baked potatoes with BBQ topping. I've been there during the week around lunch and it wasn't very busy, but was almost packed for Sunday lunch. View menu

The BBQ is ok at best. I can understand why so many reviews state that the meat was cold. It was luke warm at best, like it was long since removed from a warmer or sitting on a cutting counter or service window too long. The sliced beef had a decent smoke line on it, yet not a lot of flavor. The fat needed to be trimmed off, as it wasn't fully rendered. Sausage had pretty good flavor, but I have had much better sausage in this great state. Was not a fan of the BBQ sauce, as it lacked body and an identity. Potato salad was good, Beans were not good at all. The wife had a Steak Finger basked that looked good (CFS cut into strips, hand breaded and fried), served with fries. After our fried pick...

For Belton, it was delicious. The problem is that I am pampered with the selection of foods and what I think is good is area-specific. I'm gonna say... The staff was amazing, everyone was super nice and smiling, what food tastes better imo. The white wings were 't wings at all, but more a huge chicken nugget (from a real chest) with butter cheese I'm the center, packed in bacon. The roasted okra is probably my favorite thing on the menu so far, with the cheese curds coming in a near second. I was a little disappointed about the macaroni and the ribs, but that is where I think it is regional. Who am I, with a person who LOVES the Makkaroni? If someone had that and some other types of macaroni...
