Stopped for lunch/dinner at Coastal Cravings. The food was good, varied and well priced for the area. The wait staff was very engaging, helpful and attentive.

Chris was excellent.Food is great bbq, lobster roll, etc.Good beer and drink selection.Ice/water tastes different but that’s probably because we don’t live at the coast.

We came in during the peak lunch time and had 3 real good lunches.We all got a variety of fried seafood and were satisfied with portion and quality.Service was excellent.We will be back.They have some other areas on the property to show outdoor movies and a beer house.Would like to come back for those.

Coastal Cravings is a VERY small, very tasty restaurant with 6 tables inside, plus bar seating, and 6 tables outside under patio umbrellas. Their menu serves up fresh seafood and steak choices, salads, etc. All very nicely prepared and delicious. They don't take reservations, so be prepared for a long wait. Out back, they have a bar, live music stage, ping pong, billiards and seating in an open air area for guests. We had a drink here while we waited over an hour for a table. Never got a table ended up eating at the bar. Still, it was a nice dinner.

Shown at 4:30 on Thursday. Many rooms at the bar and the indoor seating area, although the indoor area is limited seat. Parking is also tiny, so the woman and I are there early. At that time, there are no problems finding a room. You have an outdoor seating area called Tap Shack, which has live music and beer, but it snores outside so we decided to eat inside. Bartender inside was great. We ordered the Hush puppies, crabcakes and panning horseradish. Everything was delicious even though the scallops stole the show! My family and I stopped in for a late lunch at Coastal Cravings during our vacation in Duck. We ordered from the lunch menu and got small(ish) meals and one appetizer. We ordered mostly seafood items (obviously) but there were plenty of items to choose from on the menu, both seafood and non-seafood. The food was excellent. Good-sized portions and delicious. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick even during what looked like a busy time for them. The restaurant was clean and had a bar with large TVs and both indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoyed our visit and the food very much.

We waited an hour and a half for a table despite being told it would take 50 to 60 minutes. The food turned out to be disappointing, and we were incorrectly charged for three appetizers we hadn't ordered. The waitress argued with us and refused to remove the charges from our bill. No one in our group of eight received a drink refill during our meal. As we were leaving, the waitress made an inappropriate comment to one of the men in our party. When he told her we would be in OBX until Saturday, she replied, “good luck with that,” seemingly referring to the four young children with us. Overall, the lobster we had was the worst we've ever tasted.

WARNING: AVOID THIS PLACE! I was completely ripped off! The waitress was pleasant at first, but things went downhill when we were charged for two different checks. Even though it was their mistake, I never received a refund, nor did my partner! After receiving the bill, my partner paid it, but it turned out to be the wrong amount. Being honest, I brought it up to the waitress, thinking she would only charge us the difference. Instead, she charged us the full amount on the second check as well! I expected to get a refund for the original bill, but that never happened! It's disappointing to find that other restaurants in this area have also overcharged us, albeit in a more subtle manner.
