"My wife and I got married in Ithaca in July 2022, and Coltivare was a fantastic venue for our rehearsal dinner and the brunch the following day. The food was outstanding, and the service was even better. Their events team was incredibly thoughtful and responsive, making both days a memorable experience for our family and friends. They offered to create a special menu for the dinner and provided us access to the entire wine cellar, as well as half of the banquet space for our welcome drinks. For brunch, we were the only guests in the restaurant, and we felt truly taken care of. We highly recommend Coltivare for special occasions and private events, and we can't wait to return!"

First time coming here and definitely will be back! Food was great, and Makenzie was a fantastic server. Everything came out fast, and she was extremely attentive to anything we needed. View menu

Coltivare has been closed since May 26, 2023, but I didn't know that until I showed up for my reservation on July 2, 2023 because I received a confirmation for my reservation from open table on July 1, 2023. Please fix the open table app!

I just saw in the newspaper that this restaurant was the only one in the county to receive three CRITICAL health and safety violations during a health department inspection. It’s no surprise that a friend of mine who dined there recently ended up with food poisoning. If you want to avoid getting sick, I highly recommend steering clear of this place. View menu

DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!!! Booked this reservation on open table Came to Ithaca for parents weekend which happens to be very busy and tough to get in restaurants Was surprised to see such availability and now I know why We arrived only to find it closed Absolutely ridiculous!!! Had to find somewhere else which was difficult Very poor business practice in my opinion

The staff were very attentive and kept pace with the meal, very appropriate for the occasion. I ordered both the Apple Fest macaroni and a cheeseburger. The Apple Fest macaroni is definitely a must-try when you're in Ithaca, and you can try it here ifyou're not in town for Apple Fest itself. The burger itself was cooked to perfection, nice and tender! Very pleasant experienceall around!

"My girlfriend and I decided to take a romantic getaway on the finger lakes and our drive had us passing through Ithaca, so we decided to stop for dinner. A good friend recommended this place, and admittedly I was skeptical of Italian food this far from New York City, but I trust their recommendations and decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. For our wine selection, our server allowed us to sample one of the wines by the glass, which tasted thin. When we described what we wanted, she came back with a reasonably priced bottle that exactly hit the deep red notes that we were looking for (see the picture for the winery vintage if interested . We started with the crostini sampler. In my opinion, the Caponata was the best, but they were all interesting to try and I was glad we got all three. As a nice touch, they cut each crostini in half so my girlfriend and I could both easily sample each one. For dinner, I had the grilled hanger steak, which came with rapini and shoestring fries. I admittedly gave an annoyingly long description of how I wanted it cooked (essentially rare+ and they nailed it. The steak was fantastic, but the accompaniments were so good that they almost stole the show. The shoestring fries’ rosemary seasoning was a fun twist and the rapini was both familiar (garlic and olive oil and excitingly different. For dessert, I had what was essentially espresso mousse with graham crackers and a glass of dessert wine. While probably the weakest course, it was still a delicious way to cap an amazing meal. The mousse required a bit more texture, but fortunately they provided graham crackers on the side (which I suggest crumbling into the mousse . I’d highly recommend checking this place out if you happen to be in the area."
