"I have an online order Sunday 11/20. I got my order and my steak sandwich was missing. I went up again to get it after the call. The food sat on a table behind the podium and it was all about 5 minutes at least before someone actually helped me despite a waitress standing on the podium on the front. I even said I was here to get the rest of my order and still ignored me. Another girl came up and gave it to me and didn't have to ask what I was for. That means the first girl could have picked it up and handed it over to me. When I came home, it was cold and the pommes were wounded. We have recently held subdivision sessions to bring you money because people order food. This is not the type of service I expect, and I am really unhappy."

Had a very good meal, roast beef sandwich and salad. Service was great I would recommend people giving them a try I'm definitely going back soon to try the lunch pizza and side for $10 dollars.

I had the fried chicken and enjoyed it very much. The cheddar broccoli soup had a bit of a burnt taste. My two companions had the smash burger, they both said it was bigger than expected but very good.

We hosted a private party for 30 people at Crusoes, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for our event. The food was fantastic, and the staff was exceptional! We couldn't have asked for a better time with family and friends, and Crusoes made it all possible. Thank you for everything you do! View menu

Being a group they gave us a private room, that is a plus! Also the staff was very helpful and nice. My food was great, I have no complains about the chicken wrap, the rest of the group ordered a variety off dishes that looked very good, the only thing that wasn?t great was the pasta and meatballs, no flavor whatsoever. The rest was good.

Went in on a Friday afternoon was seated right away. Wasnt too crowded at all. We ordered the pretzels an dip. Was DELICIOUS wish we would've ordered 2 lol. Our waiter was on point with refills of our sodas never had to ask. Ordered the American baconcheeseburger was delicious again. Live in creve coeur will definitely be back. Also love the one in the city. ALWAYS DELICIOUSFOOD ??

On Friday afternoon, we were seated immediately, but the restaurant was quite crowded. We ordered the Brezeln with a cheese dip, and they were DELICIOUS—wish we had ordered two, haha! Unfortunately, our waiter didn’t check on us for soda refills. The American bacon cheeseburger was also delicious. As residents of Creve Coeur, we will definitely be back. We love this place; the food is ALWAYS DELICIOUS! View menu

Just ate lunch there. The bartender took our order and brought us our food. She told us who our waitress would be but, never did she come to our table. I also watched the bus boy pick up a knife from one of the tables he was cleaning and spin it around inthe air then was eating frys off the plates that customers left behind. When leaving we had no bill to take to register becausewe didn't have a waitress! Then stood up there waiting for someone to come and give me the bill. It's a good thing we are honestbecause we could have just walked out. Food was just ok. We will not be back!!!

"My boyfriend and I came to this place during our visit to St. Louis after reading rave reviews about it online. We went in well-dressed and excited with high expectations, but unfortunately were left feeling extremely disappointed and underwhelmed. Dining at the restaurant definitely taught us a lot about the ozark history. I have a lot of respect for the time and enthusiasm the owner put into researching the history, arranging youtube videos, and conveying this information to the guests. His concerns about the environment and zero-waste efforts are also very laudable. His direct interactions with all of the guests and attempts to answer questions were refreshing. The food, however, was very lacking and mediocre. The concept of watching your food being made is fun and exciting. Understandably, they can’t make everything and plenty is prepared in advance. Except they really didn’t seem to make much of anything at all. A few grilled mushrooms here, and a delicate but also pompous plating there and that’s it. I know there’s probably a kitchen in the back and they work throughout the day as most kitchens do, but this gaudy element of pseudo showmanship missed a serious mark. Again, that’s fine. It’s an aesthetic and part of the bulrush experience. What annoys me is the price tag and the faint whiff of haughtiness that comes with it. The kitchen hands also looked apathetic, disinterested, and lacked focus. They didn’t look like professional chefs, just professional food assemblers. I did not trust that they knew to prepare food properly and that was evident in what was eventually served. The food was either too plain, too sour, too salty, or overall a very big disappointment. The steak had so many big chunks of fat in it that I was only able to eat about half of it. The poissants were cute but definitely not something I would pay that much money for, especially given that there were only about two small pieces of it on our plates. The beets, brussel sprouts, asparagus, fried onions that we were served, I can find and reproduce in my own kitchen. For the amount of money we paid, I expected a lot more flavor, unique ingredients, and creativity. I asked the owner why Ozark and he admitted it was an entrepreneurial strategy to stand out. He loved to repeat to our audience that night that “no one else” is doing it! Well when you taste the food you can kinda see why? I can’t deny though that the chefs know how to make something look appetizing in pictures. That’s what initially attracted us to the restaurant. The pretty platings and colorfully spectacular arrangements were what got us in the door. The experience has been worth it in the sense that for all that we paid for, we got a good lesson to not eat with our eyes, and a funny story to tell our friends back at home."
