"Oh my god the sangria gods left their recipe in the hands of these people. I don't care if your a big drinker or not the white wine sangria is the BEST. Everything that followed had tough competition with the carafe of goodness. We had squid in squid ink. How many times can you murmur under your breath yes please. The octopus was tender and garlic shrimp delicious. Our mains were the scallops in a sherry sauce. It was really good but I preferred shrimp in green sauce. We also got a mixed paella. This may be my only complaint. It was served in a non stick skillet. It was crispy as asked but where is the paella pan. The deserts rocked and free desert drink came next. If I was ever too have a food induced coma. One that brings me back to Madrid, Pamplona Toledo this was it. I will definitely come back if for nothing more then the sangria carafe. Thanks for amazing meal."

Nice spot for some paella. Great spot . I enjoyed the service. They were very attentive. Also described the difference between 2 types of paella for me. Loved the atmosphere will be going there soon.Food: 5/5

Great Spanish Restaurant. We went there to try Caldo Gallego but was run out after a few servings. The alternatives were good though. For dessert, we tried chocolate pudding and 'flan de tres leches (see the photos). Both were delicious.Food: 5/5

We celebrated Valentine's Day here in style. Caracoles. Paella Valencia (lobster added). Sangria. The ambiance. Service and food were just perfect for our night. We are so lucky to have them in our neighborhood. They have great happy hour specials too. View menu

This is a fantastic Spanish restaurant! I truly enjoy both the food and the atmosphere here. It’s cozy and relaxing, and the food is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend trying the garlic shrimp—it’s a must! Everything on the menu is delicious, and the service is excellent as well.

I’ve eaten at many places across the country. I have to say, this place was perfect. The food is a definite must. And hands down, the BEST service I’ve experienced. The attention to detail, promptness, and care is absolutely unmatched! Thank you for a wonderful experience El Pote Español!Food: 5/5

The food is excellent and the seafood paella is mine and my husband's favorite. We also love to get a pitcher of the white sangria, so refreshing. The service is always excellent as well, and somehow it is never too crowded to seat us. This is our favorite paella place in NYC. Highly recommend. I also just tried their Tartufo the other night and it was made extra special. View menu

The service was excellent, but the food did not meet my expectations. The portions were small, and the chicken cutlet had a peculiar taste with very little seasoning. The rice reminded me of something straight out of a Goya Spanish yellow rice box. The atmosphere was decent, but some of the customers at the bar made me feel unwelcome. Overall, I would rate the food a 2 out of 5.

Last time I ate here must have been almost 30 years ago. This mainstay is just as good as I remember albeit pricier and with smaller portions. We had the catch of the day which happened to be cod, paella Negra, Arroz con Pollo, and pork cheek!Appetizers were pulpo estilo feria mussels! The dishes were full of flavor, fresh and distinctly El pote!Do try out this spot that's a bit out of the way but worth the trek!

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
