The food here is absolutely amazing! The staff is friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was fantastic! My husband had the salmon wrap, and the portion of fresh salmon was huge! The dessert was decent, but it could have used more strawberries. There’s plenty of parking, and the restaurant is clean. Excellent Gluten-Free Experience! The staff is friendly and offers a wide range of safe options for those with celiac disease. They even fry their French fries in a dedicated gluten-free fryer! 1st time to try this place. It was busy when we got there Sunday at 12:30 but we got seated after just a short wait. They have pot roast served over mashed potatoes as their special every Sunday. My wife said it was excellent. I ordered a filet with mushrooms in a wine sauce. The steak was a little tough, but the mushroom sauce was a right choice. The staff was friendly and the restaurant clean and updated. We will sure be back. Food: 4

Fresh Chef has been outstanding since my very first visit. The shrimp and grits are incredible, and the meatloaf is fantastic. The burgers are massive. The staff is exceptionally respectful, kind, and simply wonderful. The atmosphere is lovely, with dim lighting and a lovely outdoor area featuring overhead patio lights, perfect for warm evenings. The bar is also impressive and tends to be packed every time we go. With great food, great people, and a great social vibe, it’s always a pleasure to dine here. View menu

I have only one complaint about my experience: the flies! We chose to sit outside since the weather was beautiful yesterday, but as soon as our food arrived, the flies appeared. It wasn’t just a couple; we spent the whole time swatting them away. I’m not sure what attracted them to our meal, but it was quite frustrating. I ended up rushing through my shrimp wrap and leaving my sides on the other side of the table so my wife could enjoy her food without the annoyance. We would have moved indoors, but it was a bit too chilly for her and the seating was closer than we liked. Overall, I recommend trying this place, just make sure to skip the outdoor seating!

I feel the need to update my previous review. I'm reducing my rating by two stars due to the frustrating experiences I've had during my recent visits. On several occasions, I've ordered half and half along with sweet tea, but each time it has been served to me stale, with a taste and smell reminiscent of mildew, as if it had been left out for days. I also ordered the grilled salmon salad, asking for the salmon to be cooked medium, but instead, it came out charred and dry. A few nights ago, I had a salad where some of the tomatoes were so unpleasant and bitter that I had to spit them out. We particularly enjoyed the kale salad; it includes a hint of red pepper flakes that adds a slight kick without being overpowering. The lemon dressing was fantastic, too. We prefer our meat medium-rare or rare, and the cheeseburger was expertly seasoned and cooked just right. You could tell it was fresh by both the smell and taste, and it was incredibly tender.
