"Fair warning, this will be a lengthy message, but it’s only because Hawaiian Style BBQ has played such a significant role in my time in Augusta. When I first relocated to Augusta from Atlanta, my main aim was to complete the Respiratory Therapy program and head back to Atlanta. I was unfamiliar with the area, so I decided to stop by Hawaiian Style BBQ to try the garlic chicken plate. I not only LOVED the food, but the atmosphere made a lasting impression on me. I eventually applied for a server position and was overjoyed when I got the job. A year later, I can genuinely say that working here has been one of the best experiences of my life. When my program ended, I didn’t want to leave—not just because of the food or the job itself, but because of the amazing people I worked with. They’ve become like family to me. From day one, I felt their constant kindness and support, both professionally and personally. No matter how busy my schedule was with school and clinicals, I always looked forward to coming to work (I even came in on my days off to study). The team, including the managers, fostered such a positive environment that it became my sanctuary during a busy and challenging time. I want to especially thank Matt, the general manager, for hiring me and for always inspiring me to do my best. Matt, you lead with determination and heart, and Hawaiian Style BBQ wouldn’t be the same without you. You’ve kept the team united and motivated, and I’ve embraced the philosophy of “Do whatever it takes” and giving my all without reservation. There are so many wonderful people at this job who have touched my heart that I’d end up naming everyone if I tried. (They know who they are). Hawaiian Style BBQ has truly been the best job I’ve ever had—and I’ve had quite a few! This team will always be my ohana, my family. Even when I thought my time in Augusta was concluded, this job and the people here will always give me a reason to return. If you’re searching for incredible food and an even better community, Hawaiian Style BBQ is the place to be. I feel incredibly blessed to have been part of it. P.S. The poke nachos here are amazing!"

My favorite moment was when we walked in and the man greeted us with a cheerful "Aloha y'all." Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.

Summer, our server, was excellent. The food was delicious too. Overall, I'd rate the food as 4, the service as 4, and the atmosphere as 4.

We absolutely love this restaurant and would definitely rate it five stars. However, last night we had a delivery through DoorDash and, unfortunately, our order was missing Hawaiian rolls. Other than that, everything was fantastic! Service: Delivery. View menu

The food is amazing! The meat bowls offer a variety of delicious flavors, and I've enjoyed all of them. The service is professional, friendly, and prompt. I've returned several times already. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

We drove two hours to try some of our favorite dishes, but we were extremely disappointed. Everything was bland, and we ended up not finishing our meal and throwing it away. It was an expensive experience that unfortunately isn’t worth a return visit.

I’ve received numerous recommendations for this place, and I finally decided to check it out today. Matt, the bartender, guided me throughout the entire experience, and I can confidently say I’ll be a regular after enjoying the delicious BBQ chicken bowl! 10/10! View menu

I recently visited the new branch on Washington Rd, and unfortunately, the service was quite poor. After placing our order, we waited 25 minutes without receiving our food and ultimately decided to leave. Throughout our wait, we were repeatedly assured that our order would be ready shortly, only to find out that they were overwhelmed with DoorDash orders, causing delays for customers dining in. This was not an ideal way to open a new location. There is definitely room for improvement. If they can't manage both dine-in and delivery effectively, it might be better to concentrate on just one.

You only dream of finding a great restaurant, and this one is undoubtedly one of those spots that you'll wish was in your hometown. We visited while dropping our son off at Fort Eisenhower, and I can't wait for our next visit! The only downside is that I can't remember the name of our server/hostess, who was incredibly helpful with our ordering questions; everything she suggested was fantastic! The pork rinds were extraordinarily delicious, so much so that we ended up ordering two bags to take home. The portion sizes are generous, allowing you to take some leftovers with you! The Hawaiian Margherita is a MUST-TRY! The atmosphere and cleanliness definitely meet Servsafe standards. I love this...

"Hands down the best food I've had in Augusta. In Augusta for work, and have been trying out various restaurants with the work crew. This place I is the first that had me saying I'm coming back. EVERYTHING was good! Seating is limited and there was a short (10min) then from there it's either buffet style or takeout option. We dined in, which gave me a chance to sample EVERYTHING. I started with the salmon in lemon sauce. Not overcooked and just delicious. This was my favorite. Seconds were had. Next up was the fried pork loin. Probably my least favorite protein but still good. I'm not much of a pork person and still enjoyed. Then the barbeque chicken. This..was..good. seasoned to the bone. For sides, there was some corn and lima beans and plain rice. After this, we had the beef gumbo. The gumbo truth be told was more a soup. For me gumbo needs to be a little thicker...heartier. Whatever you want to call it delicious. The beef was seasoned well, tender and the broth flavoured with okras. There was also a salad bar, and I just had a fresh salad. Typical salad toppings with some.black olives and jalapenos to spice it up a little. Not sure about the dressing, I did without. Then everything was topped off with the peach cobbler. I enjoyed this as well, probably because it was not overly sweet. But I know people are passionate about their cobbler, so opinions will very. All in all, I'm definitely going back and look forward to different daily dishes. We were told when leaving tomorrow (Friday) is fried chicken day."
