"However, our waitress did not seem suited for the environment. I’m not sure if she was new, but her service left much to be desired. It took her 20 minutes after we were seated to come over and take our drink orders. Throughout the meal, she did not check in to see if my steak was cooked to my liking or inquire about our overall experience. The food was truly outstanding, and that was not the issue. At one point, she stumbled and nearly spilled my husband's dinner in his lap while shifting the table, also spilling some water. Accidents happen, but unfortunately, that was the only time she smiled at us. Although I don’t mind the added gratuity, I felt that 20% was a bit excessive given her minimal service. I understand that waitstaff rely on tips, but they also need to earn them. Perhaps waitressing isn’t her forte, but while she is in that role, she should strive to provide excellent service for a meal as elegant and pricey as the one at J Morgan's. Coming from a family with a restaurant background, I can say we would have tipped her more generously if she had delivered more than the bare minimum service one might expect at a fast-food restaurant. That said, we would definitely return for another special occasion; however, we will be requesting a different waitress next time. For a meal costing $80 per person, better service was expected."

Best steak that I have had in a long time. Server was pleasant and attentive. Small establishment with no sound abatement. Noise was distracting. Reasonable price for top quality meal.

Yet another wonderful experience and delicious meal at J Morgan's. The staff was delightful and the food was outstanding. We have dined here several times, and they never fail to impress.

Impromptu dinner out on a Thursday turned into a fantastic evening. The Porterhouse was cooked to perfection and the Lobster BLT is equally as good as the one's I've enjoyed on the coast of Maine. The service was exceptional (as always) and we're already looking forward to our next visit ? View menu

The food was great other than a big piece of gristle in my husbands wagu steak. The drinks were yummy and the server was very helpful knowledgeable and gave us great service. I was not happy about the 20% mandatory tip that was spilt with all the waiters and waitresses. I would rather just give a bigger tip of the service and food deserves it and that waiter or waitress gets it.

A very nice family dinner at this good restaurant. We all have very good dishes. The jumbo shrimp were indeed jumbo and the garlic bread as good as always. I'd say the garlic bread base could be softer it was difficult to cut through. We had lobster Mac and Cheese very good, lobster sandwich which was good and the fillet mignon which was very good. Also had a strawberry cake delicious. Service was good Id say could be a bit faster especially with drinks and maybe check in to the table a little bit more. Other than that very pleasant and helpful.

What a wonderful steakhouse! We found this little gem while shopping. We wanted something more than the usual informal drab eateries that crowd the downtown streets. It was like stepping on to J P Morgan's personal train. Elegant but not pretentious. Our server was relaxed and very welcoming. He guided us through the steak menu in the most professional manner. The porterhouse was cooked perfectly. Unlike many servers, he explained the service charge without pushing us to extra tip. The service charge would be distributed equally to staff. This is our favorite restaurant whenever we come through town. View menu

The appetizer was enjoyable, but the meal went downhill from there. The Caesar salad was overwhelmed with lettuce, some of which was brown, and the dressing lacked flavor. The turkey burger was bland and tasteless; I couldn’t even find the onion jam, and the cheese was barely there. The Wagyu steak, priced at $48, was underwhelming and cooked unevenly. The service was acceptable, but after clearing two tables, we had to wait for the server to finish. This was meant to be a birthday celebration, yet the server brought desserts for everyone except the guest of honor, whose order she forgot to place. Overall, it just wasn’t worth it.

I ordered the Montreal ribeye and my friend opted for the regular ribeye. Both steaks were quite thin, about 1/2 inch thick. I requested mine to be cooked medium rare, but it came out so overcooked that the waiter noticed and mentioned it before I could even say anything. It was definitely well done. The waiter was polite and offered to replace my steak, but I declined since I knew it would take another 20-30 minutes, so instead, he gave us a complimentary dessert. I'm not particularly hard to please and usually don’t send food back, but considering this place markets itself as a premier steakhouse and our steaks were $39 each, I was really disappointed with my experience at J Morgans.

"I 've been shopping here since I was a teenager. I 've always loved the selections of fresh organic produce. I love the deli and basically everything about the store. The only reason I 'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the lack of produce research done for some of the organic produce that is being sold. I recently found out that the honeycrisp apples are coated with a product called Apeel, which is controversial and has very little reputable research behind it. If you go to their website they are NOT very transparent in how they make Apeel, they only keep repeating that it 's safe . Not sure how anything can be called organic with substances being added to it that are not considered organic. I would have preferred if this had been disclosed on the label, however it is not. Like GMO 's used to be, large corporations feel like they don 't need to disclose this to consumers because it 's supposedly safe . I have a right to know what I 'm ingesting and a right to make the choice not to buy it, however if I don 't know then that 's taking that right away from me. Very disappointed in the store right now and the produce manager who allowed this to go unchecked. Unfortunately I 'm now very concerned about what else is being sold in the store. It is really saddening that even the health food stores are not reliable as they once were for clean food sources. If no one is reliable, then why am I shopping at a place that is supposed to be healthy and have high quality products? I don 't mind the prices as long as I 'm getting quality and transparency. Apparently I m not."
