"The meal,as usual,was excellent. Unfortunately,they are closing from their current location;and moving to a new location. Information will be forthcoming as to date and location of reopening. Look forward to visiting at new location. I have been a customer from the beginning when they were La Scarpetta and have enjoyed their food for a few years. The homemade pasta is always a treat,and the veal dishes are better than most of the places in Sarasota. .Sorry,I'm a spoiled New Yorker and I grew up eating veal cutlets.They know how to cook fish so it's not over cooked and I have had a bowl of soup for dinner on those late nights when a meal is too muchLook for the reopening,it's a real treat and I'm reluctant to tell everyone how good La Violetta is,it's difficult enough getting a reservation"

"The food, service, and ambiance were all outstanding. This is the most authentic Southern Italian cuisine I've experienced in the Sarasota area. Having lived here for 18 years as an Italian American, I can truly appreciate it. My niece, whose husband owns a restaurant and two Italian delis in another state, also thought the food was exceptional. It was refreshing to enjoy a dinner conversation without loud music in the background."

"This is our second visit to this location. We were seated outdoors which has a busy Server flow. Kind of narrow but the great plants help create some form of barrier between you and the diners in front or behind you. The service was excellent and our Server was great at advising us on the menu and putting together a great meal. The meal was delicious and we would certainly go back again. We ordered the pork chop and Chicken with Bowtie pasta. They were both cooked to perfection. Our meal selections have been a 10 between 2 visits. Slightly higher priced than many places we have been in Sarasota but not outrageous and well worth it. Robin M"
