"We were hesitant to eat here after being turned away by every other nearby restaurant, especially given the mixed reviews and the restaurant’s relatively empty appearance. However, we ended up having a really enjoyable meal with attentive and friendly service. My martini was solid—something that’s often hard to come by—and the oysters were good, though not exceptional. The lobster roll was excellent, and the Mexican spice mussels were delicious. Our daughter’s pesto pasta with grilled shrimp was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Although we started with low expectations, having dined at nearly every restaurant in Sag Harbor, MTK Lobster House held its own that night. We will definitely be returning."

The food and service were merely okay. I tried to use a discount card, but they declined to accept it!

Lobster was dry and stringy, clam chowder was runny and fries were overdone. Slow slow service but nice staff.

We absolutely loved it! I'm not sure why the rating is so low. I've visited twice, and both times the food was delicious and fresh. We especially enjoyed the lobster rolls, lobster bisque, and fish and chips. View menu

The food was outstanding. We enjoyed the crispy calamari and the lighthouse lobster roll (pictured), both were delicious. Our server was friendly and patient, especially since I was undecided at first. I can’t recall her name, but thank you! Looking forward to my next visit to Sag Harbor.

The food and presentation were impressive. Both the Chicken Milanese and Fish and Chips were exceptional—there’s really nothing negative to say about our meal. The portions were quite large. As is often the case, the service was a bit slow. Nonetheless, it’s definitely worth a visit for a laid-back lunch or dinner; it’s a wonderful place for people-watching while sipping on a drink.

The atmosphere was very cozy and welcoming, creating a pleasant ambiance. While the pasta I ordered was tasty, it was quite overpriced for the portion size. Moreover, I was charged an extra $2 for Tito's vodka in my drink, which seemed excessive since it's not a premium brand. Despite these concerns, I intend to come back, as I've consistently had good meals here in the past. I just hope they consider my feedback. View menu

I visited their website, which stated that they were open, and I was even able to make a reservation through OpenTable. I drove all the way from Greenport with my family for this reservation, only to discover that the restaurant was closed. This is completely unacceptable. They really need to keep their website up to date; it’s their duty as restaurant owners to ensure that reservations can’t be made when they are not open. It’s just ridiculous.

I've seen quite a few negative reviews, but I had an amazing experience when I visited this restaurant. The shrimp quesadillas were incredibly tasty, and the extra sauces I ordered were just as delicious. The service was top-notch, and I'm definitely planning to come back to explore more of the menu. Update: I've returned this season and visited twice. My experience is still positive—the wait staff is fantastic, and every dish I've tried has been delightful.

"Our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, offering excellent recommendations throughout our meal. The outdoor garden patio is simply stunning, adorned with twinkling lights above the tables and surrounded by beautiful hydrangea flowers. The hostess greeted us right at the entrance to the garden area, creating a warm welcome. My mother enjoyed a glass of white wine, while I opted for their twist on an Aperol Spritz. For appetizers, we shared the Tonno, a spicy tuna tartare, which earned a perfect 10/10 for both taste and presentation. Our second appetizer was the Carasau Flatbread, which was decent but not stand-out; I’d rate it a 5/10. It was a simple flatbread drizzled with olive oil, but in hindsight, we should have chosen the Burrata instead! For the main course, three out of four of us ordered the Rigatoni with sausage and peas in a vodka sauce. It sounded irresistible, and thankfully, it lived up to expectations. As for dessert, we decided to go with the classic tiramisu, which turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever tasted. We also couldn’t resist trying the panna cotta, a classic vanilla custard topped with fresh berries. It was light, delightful, and incredibly delicious. If you find yourself in Sag Harbor, make sure to make a reservation (or two!) at Dopo La Spiaggia. You won’t be disappointed! We’re already looking forward to our next visit. **Parking:** We found a spot easily on the street just a few doors down. Since it was a Monday, the area was quiet, so I can’t comment on weekend parking availability. **Service:** Dine-in **Meal type:** Dinner **Price per person:** $30–50 **Food:** 5 **Service:** 5 **Atmosphere:** 5 **Recommended dishes:** Rigatoni with Sausage and Peas, Tiramisu **Parking space:** Plenty of parking **Parking options:** Free street parking"
