"eating was not disappointing, but there was no option for bad management. would recommend this place to eat, but not sure I would recommend it for a large group party. we made about 3 weeks reservations for a work, at 4:30-5 last night together. around 6:10 we were told by the server (not his fault) that his manager told him we had only 20 minutes and we had to go. they would eat every night we ordered in a box. after our server we had only reservations up to 6:30. some of us have liked the love martinis and our appetizers, so we asked our server at 5:45 if we could order later. that's not a problem. We were never told when the reservations were confirmed on 2/10 or by everyone in the restaurant when we arrived that we had only 1.5 hours reservations. I spoke to the manager (christ who was not very professional or kreatiw. when we told her that we were never told and had not eaten some of us yet, her answer was, well, what do they want me to do when we never told her that we had only the place until 6:30, she said how would that ring when we tell them that if she was wavy christine. I would think that would have been much less unpleasant than telling us that they only have another 20 minutes and then they have to go. of course she gave it to covid. we had a party in juni and we have no deadline. we went to heritage hills and they were very accommodating and thought it was terrible what happened to us at gas. logan. we all knew it wasn't your fault."

"After many years of living nearby, I finally decided to have dinner at this restaurant I had never visited before. The facilities are beautiful, with a great patio and yard area for outdoor dining or events. I was impressed by the building and property. We were seated promptly with our reservation and it wasn't too crowded. We chose to sit indoors, but I noticed right away that the open floor layout made it noisy, even with sound deadening materials on the high ceilings. The service was a bit lacking - our waitress was friendly but slow to respond and made some mistakes with our order. Not a big deal, but could be improved, especially since they were not busy. The food and drinks were fantastic, with a menu that was nicely curated and not too complicated. Overall, I would definitely give it another try."

"We were delighted to discover this hidden gem of a restaurant for lunch the other day. After living in the area for over a year, we were tired of dining at local restaurants that served mediocre food that seemed to come from a can, a box, or the freezer. It felt like all the restaurants in the southern central PA region were purchasing their food in bulk from wholesale stores like Sam's Club, BJ's, or Costco. Tapenade Bistro was a refreshing change of pace. Our lunch tasted incredibly fresh, as if each ingredient had just been picked, and the dishes were expertly prepared by skilled chefs or cooks. The owner, who we believe was a woman, made a point to speak with each table of diners and was genuinely interested in their dining experience. Our server was also attentive and professional. Overall, dining at Tapenade Bistro in the middle of the day was one of the best culinary experiences we've had in the York area in the past 18 months. We applaud the owners and their staff for providing us with such a wonderfully crafted meal."

"About a month ago, my three friends and I had lunch at this restaurant. The owner’s husband served us and was quite chatty from his post at the counter. We decided to order based on his suggestions, but we found the portions to be heavy on rice noodles and lacking in other ingredients. For instance, the noodles with shrimp contained only FOUR medium shrimp. The noodles themselves were filling, and the sauce was delicious but very mild. The dining area is spacious, with the bank vault prominently on display. Unfortunately, like many Thursdays, we were the only customers, and while there was plenty of parking available, all the signage directed towards the back rather than the street. Overall, a shortage of portions, ambiance, and service means we probably won’t be returning."
