"This place is a little hidden off the main street, but it's fantastic. We sat near the bar area and had the octopus, French onion soup, steak frites, roasted chicken, and a side of broccolini (which was such a pleasant surprise it was prepared with butter, garlic, and crushed red pepper flakes broccoli has never been so good . Everything was excellent meat perfectly cooked, sauces flavorful, fries crisp, greens perfectly dressed, etc. The service was great (attentive and friendly , and the atmosphere is both luxurious and cozy (my only complaint is can get loud, which can make conversation hard . Oh, and they not only give you bread when you sit down, but they send you home with a mini baguette per person when you get the check (every French bistro should do this! . Parking: Had no trouble at 7pm on a Saturday"

Food is good but not worth the hassle of the staff. Very rude and condescending. Absolute horrible on two different occasions that we will not return. Food: 3 Service: 1 View menu

A true European-Style Café right here in Cape Cod! A must for anyone who is in the Hyannis area. I haven't tried the restaurant yet, but the Cafe space is beautiful and I can't wait until the pizzeria is done! Parking: 2 or 3 customer lots. Maybe 30 spaces in total. Wheelchair accessibility: They have ramps and wheelchair lifts at the customer entrances.

Pain D’Avignon never disappoints! The food is always exceptional, the service is reliably fantastic, and the ambiance is lovely. I brought my little French bulldog and they were accommodating (the waiter even greeted her when greeting us . We ordered the beef tartare, baked oysters (outstanding! , a bib salad, risotto, veal, and burger. They were all delicious. We always enjoyed the salted butter with their amazing bread! A must if you’re in the area!

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Island cafe Bar , and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time! Food (5/5): Every dish was a masterpiece. From the first bite to the last, the flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The ingredients were clearly high-quality, and the presentation was stunning. Whether you’re a fan of classic comfort food or adventurous flavors, their menu has something for everyone. I highly recommend. Service (5/5): The service was impeccable. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and had great recommendations. The little details, like checking in at the right moments and remembering special requests, really made a difference. Atmosphere (5/5): The ambiance was perfect—warm, inviting, and stylish. Whether you’re here for a romantic dinner, a celebration, or just a casual night out, the setting elevates the experience. The lighting was just right, the décor was thoughtfully designed, and even the background music added to the relaxed yet sophisticated vibe. Overall, Island Cafe Bar is a gem! If you’re looking for a top-tier dining experience with incredible food, outstanding service, and a beautiful atmosphere, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to return!"

"I initially thought that Downtown Bistro was. no go for vegetarians but on a second look, I realized they have a few options. I wanted the security of a reservation on a Friday night in Hyannis and they had one at 6:30. Cha-Ching. We sat out back to enjoy the summer breeze. Our server took wonderful care of us. I actually ordered my second drink before finishing my first because we've all had that isolation island experience after the food comes and you become a skeleton before anyone checks on you again but she was really on top of making sure we had everything we needed. GF and I both started with their Cape Cod Spritzer with cranberry vodka, Prosecco, and lime juice. This was drier than I usually go for but it was refreshing and got the job done. I ordered a white Zinfandel and I can say their pours give you your money's worth because I was wasted on the walk home lmao. We took full advantage of most of their vegetarian options and elected to share a bunch of ****. We ordered the Rangoon starter which is one of the only vegetarian rangoon I've ever seen on a menu. Crisp dumplings with jalapeño, corn, cream cheese and a curry-esque dipping sauce. We also each ordered a salad, I the mango salad (arugula, mango slices, goat cheese, candied walnuts, mango vinaigrette) and GF the Caesar. The mango salad was DELICIOUS. The peppery arugula and sweet mango and goat cheese was a really interesting flavor profile. I'll also eat candied walnuts and goat cheese on cardboard so that was a nice touch to the salad. GF' Caesar was plentiful and fresh. We also ordered both the Gorgonzola garlic bread which was better than sex: gigantic slices of soft and crispy cheesy-garlicky bread. I'm not a huge fan of Gorgonzola but it didn't have that sharp, pungent flavor I was worried about. Finally, we ordered the penne vodka to share which was just as good as you would expect for that OG dish. Absolutely delicious meal with excellent service."
