Cool atmosphere with authentic teller windows and other memorabilia. Good lunch fare of french onion soup, shrimp cocktail was great!

It's a great stop to check out. The inside and outside seating is nice. Tons of areas for large parties. Food is average. Nothing special nothing horrible ???? It's a historic spot, so even stop in for a drink, the bar seemed to be the best seating!?????

My companion and I ordered the flank steak with mixed vegetables and red potatoes at this restaurant. It was fantastic, with the steak cooked in a delicious garlic butter sauce. The vegetables and potatoes had a nice spicy flavor. We also tried the lobster chowder, which was incredibly creamy with pieces of potatoes, celery, onion, and of course, lobster. Overall, the meal was worth five stars, but the chocolate cake was a bit disappointing as it had too much pudding and not enough cake. View menu

I would hardly call this an upscale restaurant. The building itself is nice but the indoor dining area was extremely basic. My mother and I went for lunch and they had typical bar food choices and salads. I can honestly say I wasn't at all blown away bymy meal but I was definitely blown away by how costly it was! I can definitely say our server was fast and friendly, though I dowish she would have mentioned that they were out of fries when I ordered my food because I don't care for house made chips. Thehostess could stand to brush up on her hospitality skills though.

We had an excellent dinner here. The restaurant itself is a super cute use of a cool old building. Kimmy, our server, was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We split shrimp cocktail, french onion soup, and perch dinner with roasted redskins green beans. We each had a salad (Caesar house specialty). For dessert we shared the lava cake. I would recommend every single thing mentioned here. We also had cocktails, which were delicious. If I could change one thing, it would be the plate the lava cake was served on because I had to chase it around the dish.

The Bank, located in Port Austin, used to be my go-to restaurant. However, I have found myself visiting less often due to its increasing prices. The cost of the steak has gone up by almost $15, now priced at nearly $50, which is quite steep for a place that isn't even a steakhouse. The prices of other dishes have also risen, despite no changes to the food or menu. While I understand inflation, if I am going to spend $35-$50 on a meal, I would expect something more modern and a more upscale dining atmosphere. I visited this restaurant for the second time and once again, the food was excellent. My visit was on a Thursday afternoon and we were promptly seated as it was not very busy. We chose to sit outside on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Despite being given only the lunch menu to choose from, we were impressed with the variety of salads and sandwiches. My friend raved about the chicken salad sandwich, claiming it was the best he's ever had. I opted for the perch sandwich and was also delighted with my choice. It's admirable when business refurbish old businesses, maintaining a lot of architecture and name. We sat outside because it was beautiful day. Though, flies and bees were annoying. Bring fly swatter or rolled newspaper. My salad came with romaine but menu listed mixed greens. Guest next to me got mixed greens. I felt cheated on. Reuben sandwich was decent because I opted to have sauce on side, since server had no idea what is in the sauce that was not 1000 island dressing. Nor did she ask kitchen to find out. *THIS! Our first visit to the restaurant was disappointing, as we were unimpressed with the service and food. The waitress was very busy and seemed to forget our order, resulting in a wait of over 45 minutes for our food. Three out of the four drinks we ordered were the same and recommended by the waitress, but there were several mistakes with the drinks. The flavoring we requested for one drink was forgotten and the color of another drink was so different that we had to confirm it was the same.
