"What happened to Southern Hospitality?! The hostess was extremely rude to start and wanted us to sit outside in the August heat because there were “so many” reservations. The restaurant was completely empty for the whole hour we were there. And how can a Brazilian restaurant not know how to make good empanadas and a Caipirinha (a Brazilian signature drink)?!! The empanadas were filled with barely seasoned ground beef and had an extra hard outer crust. I had a good batch once, but not today! Consistency is key. Because this was the 3rd time that we have had a bad experience here, I’m finally leaving a bad review. It’s a shame too, because the inside is nice and cozy, and it’s in a great location. Unfortunately, the service and taste needs a major upgrade."

Tonight was our first time eating at Samba Loca and it was excellent! Every single thing we ordered (4 of us) was great. Quality food, well prepared, and nicely presented. Our server was exceptional and the atmosphere was great. I love that we have an upscale restaurant right here in Carrollton. We will definitely be back!

Samba Loca is now our favorite restaurant in Carrollton. We sat at the bar because all the tables were reserved and we didn't want to wait. The service was excellent. Drinks and all the food we ordered were fantastic! Highly recommended and will be at the top of our go to restaurants list. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner View menu

Food was excellent. Calamari, pea soup, kebabs, lamb chops, salmon, potato sides all recommended. Service was a disappointment. We had encounters with a hostess, barman, and manager during multiple visits that were less than friendly and professional. It was not welcoming. There was a sense that we were irritating them and were barely tolerable while asking basic questions related to reservations, seating, cocktail ingredients. Not the kind of attitude or responses that keeps customers coming back.

My family and I love Samba Loca! It’s the best restaurant Carrollton has to offer, in my opinion. The bread is always fresh and the garlic sauce it comes with is so delicious! Salads are always beautiful and fresh. Yucca is fried to perfection. My favorite dish is the Brazilian Stroganoff. Every dish we order is exceptional! "A friend and I tried this restaurant for the first time recently. I live in Frisco and had been to the food stall in Legacy West several times. I love the chicken tenders with honey mustard and the duck fat French fries. I've been following Tiffany since her appearance on Top Chef and couldn't wait to try this place. We visited on a Thursday right as they opened. Didn't have a reservation but the host graciously sat us. Our server Keanon was very professional, knowledgeable and proficient. I could tell he's worked at some very high end restaurants. He made several suggestions including the cornbread (who am I kidding, we were getting that anyway . The ambiance is nice. It's a great space, very intimate with a view into the kitchen and I love that. We ordered the cornbread and shrimp and grits to start. I can't say enough about the cornbread. Thick but not dense, sweet but not cake and the smoked butter and preserves are a lovely balance. The shrimp and grits were just okay. Next to the cornbread they were a waste of money and stomach space if I'm being honest. For my entree, I ordered the red fish and my friend ordered the jerk lamb chops. That's what I wanted but I'm off red meat and pork for now (but I tasted hers and OMG, delicious ! My red fish and crab fried rice were amazing and I had plenty to take home to enjoy for left overs! Reheats great. For dessert (we're greedy right? , Keanon recommended the candied yam bread pudding! My friend didn't like it but doesn't like bread pudding. I thought It was delicious and took it home to enjoy later. All in all, it's a pricey meal, but completely worth it. The space and service are immaculate. They have unisex bathrooms with everything you'd need including mouthwash! The food is worth every calorie. I have nothing bad to say. Outstanding meal! Great restaurant! If it was closer, I'd be there often."
