"A true gem! George and Diane chose to move their restaurant business from cold Boston, Mass to Martin, TN. Lucky for us! George obviously loves what he is doing! He makes the food sing! Some of the best collard greens I’ve ever tasted! My ribeye was cooked perfectly, and it was a generous portion w very little fat. So doggone good! Normally I order a fish dish when I go out. A friend gave me a sample of her haddock and it was excellent!! Next time I will probably order that. Restaurant is super clean and neat. Service is very personable. These are people who clearly want your business and show their gratitude in such sweet ways, plus make you feel very much at home. I hope more people will patronize them so we can keep them here! There is promise of Lebanese dishes on the menu down the road since George us Lebanese. Already there is fresh hummus on the menu that is made fr scratch that is benchmark quality. I love the fresh, cold cucumber slices they serve w it! Save room for dessert if you possibly can! They are all made fr scratch as well. I highly recommend the pumpkin cheesecake."

"Lovely atmosphere, good service, but the oysters (which should be top notch since they’re in the name of the place) were the cheapest variety prepared in the laziest way at full price. At least, the oysters Rockefeller. By definition they should have greens, a green butter sauce, and bread crumbs, preferably on a long shell. What I got were the short shell kind with a scrap of onion on them tossed in the oven. It’s not difficult or complicated. I hear the other entrees are good but this particular luxury dish was what I had a hankering for and was incredibly disappointed. Still, pleasant staff and decor."

"I moved to Jackson a few years ago, and now every time I come home for a weekend, I'm at least once on Higher Ground. The coffee is delicious, and the owners are fantastic! They roast their beans in Union City and mentally craft mixtures for the community, always keeping customers first in their heads. They serve only the best products and do nothing less. The Baristas treat every customer with the utmost care and provide quality service every time. We need a higher location in the Jackson area — no other coffee shop compares!"

"I highly recommend this restaurant! It is my favorite sushi spot and there is no other place like it. The black pepper chicken is also amazing, always cooked to perfection. My kids love it too! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure we are happy with our meal and have everything we need. They are very accommodating and strive to make your dining experience the best it can be. "terrible experience. first our order was given to another customer. when we finally got our order, the sandwich that should be a double cheeseburger had only one single sheet. that's good, everyone makes mistakes. they told them about the problem and they said they would do it right. they did it for the second time with a patty. this time when we tell them it was wrong and they remake that sandwich they have it right. but when the carhop broke out eating, it was rude and dismayable. my man went into the load to talk to the manager and didn't tell the carhop to talk to me like that. then the whole crew comes out and starts to be inattentive and starts screaming at my man, going or otherwise they wanted to call the police. while he was told that he had to respect the fact that the cook was in training. he saw how the chef dropped the spat on the floor and put him on the grill again. I do not recommend visiting this sound."
