Savor - Doubletree by Hilton Silver Spring

while the staff was very friendly and hospitable, the facilities were very old and dingy. the A/C units seemed to hang on a thread. set at 60f to achieve a 75F test. I didn't feel comfortable touching or putting my things down. I was grateful that I stayed only one night, and would definitely not stay again or recommend on the basis of the building, unless they have a huge rehab.

I only have bad experiences from this hotel. 83 degree from page 95 in my room and the air conditioning does not work. let them know the lobby (not even look at me when they spoke) and in the ground said nothing we can do. Wait. has not insulted to change the rood, did not provide compensation for the bad experience. they just didn't care! I didn't even want to refund after I said I wanted to move to various hotel \n nthey are the worst. I don't want to come to them.

I realize that there are staff shortages so I won’t be too harsh with my review. The front desk staff were friendly and quick to help. My main complaint is that the room was in need of renovation and updating. Other then that the cookies were delicious and the valet was easy to use when it wasn’t too busy and we didn’t have issues with other people staying at the hotel. The location of this hotel is extremely convenient, close to the interstate, a metro station, the mall, and lots of restaurants. Which is why I picked this hotel. View menu

the A/C is absolutely terrible in the rooms. they will charge maintenance work and push around, but they know that there is no way to blow the A/C cold air if the unit is not in their room. I expect that if it is almost 100 degrees, they want their guests to stay comfortable. it would be great if the management could solve this problem, no one sweats even though they are at night! the staff is friendly and the valet is fantastic. read the others answer and notice that the A/C is a problem, I would not recommend in the summer months.

As a frequent Hilton traveler, this hotel is below typical Doubletree standards \nWhile the location is good, the service at this hotel is lacking. It’s also dated \nThe Lamp in my room was falling apart \nThe AC in my room wasn't working. Attempt was made, I called front desk nto explain it still was t working. I was told they would call me back. No call back \nit was only after I called a few hours later to cancel my second night that they seemed to care \nI don’t write reviews a lot, but would advise to only stay here if the price is really, really low and you cant find other Hilton properties available.

Horrendous! Ghetto… no service if staying over one night. Didn’t get clean towels the following day on a 2 night stay. No coffee pod fill and no toiletry fill. No garbage removal neither. Bed was not made (understandable in these times) but no clean towels?!?! I had to call and get everything myself. Housekeeping didn’t speak english and front desk staff had ghetto attitudes! Area where hotel is located is despicable. Noisy hotel. You hear everything through the walls and outside the door. Poor selection of snacks in store. Rooms extremely small. Valet Stole my Bose Headphones. I stayed at the DoubleTree Hilton from Feb 12-13th. I left my headphones in my car tucked in the compartment in the front. The car is black and the headphones case is black so someone that had time to look through my car stole them. I purposely paid for the valet parking so that my car was in a “safe” garage. The morning after checking out I checked immediately for my headphones to make a phone call and I noticed that the case was missing. I checked my car just to be sure but since I had just cleaned my car the day before the trip it was obvious that the headphones were missing. During my stay at this DoubleTree (the older of two DoubleTrees in Silver Spring) last week, I called the front desk three times between 1 AM and 4 AM to complain about a noisy party going on next door, and was promised each time that that they had sent a Security guard up to my floor, but they never did.When I contacted Hilton Guest Assistance, they told me my file indicated the hotel manager had already contacted me about this incident, but he never did.After a few more email exchanges, Hilton Guest Assistance offered to deposit 10,000 Hilton Honors points (less than half the value of one night at the hotel) in my account within 24 hours, but they never did.There was a plastic card in my r...

if I could give ZERO stars, I would have been last night because of the flight delays our room was hot. we told the recipe, they sent someone to turn it off and turn it on again. we all took cold showers and tried to sleep. all inclusive of the baby woke sweating and none of us even used the leaves \nwe complained first on the morning. we said it was this side of the building and would affect all suits. they should fix someone, but if they can't, they would move us to the side of the hotel where ac works, but we would have to be good in two rooms. go out to spend the day. return at 18:30 clock and it is hotter than the night before / the morning. they say the recipe. they say they will send...
