"Saturday my wife and I found this hidden jewel for lunch, on south Lamar. And I say it’s better than Fonda San Miguel. Our waitress Kaylie very knowledgeable about food. The presentation of the dishes we order were outstanding. My wife had the Cochinita Pibil and I had the Pollo en mole both dishes were fabulous, the margaritas well you will need to come taste them tamarindo . We live in Leander we will be coming back. Do your self and friends a favor come and eat at this place. Also we had to take home an order of the home made corn tortillas and the Abor salsa Don’t mind sign"

Super friendly service. Awesome food, really good Mexican martinis and frozen margaritas here. Treating yourself here won’t break the bank!

One of the best spots in town! The Chile en Nogada is the best in town hands down. Only problem is it’s a seasonal dish so get it while you can.

I honestly loved it...I got to eat chile en nogada for the first time ever and it was great. Their rice is flavorful, margaritas were only 5 bux. Not great for vegetarians? View menu

Great food and amazing service from a family-run institution. Can’t beat Margo’s carnitas! Glad to still have a place that reminds our family of what has always made Austin a wonderful place!

Awesome authentic Mexican food in an authentic South Austin Mom Pop restaurant. Everything we’ve had on the menu is excellent, people are always so friendly, margaritas are perfect and chips and salsa are spot-on. Love this place.

Family owned and run, delicious Tex-Mex. The salsa is the best, and the man knows how to create a sauce (their mole is my favorite). The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxing, and it is a great place to watch the game. The margaritas are great, as well. View menu

This is my new favorite Mexican spot in Austin. Their mole is on point, tortillas are home made, margaritas are tasty, potent, and cheap. The bartender (possibly owner) is super friendly and quick with the drink refills. It’s not fancy at all, but that’s honestly refreshing with the way Austin is going. This place is old school and awesome. Highly recommend!

This place has Bar Rescue written all over it… Absolutely gross. We had misgivings after walking in, they got worse when we sat down, and by the time our food arrived we all took a few bites and decided to get the check. Went to a different Mexican place down the street and started our meal over. Don't waste your time. Inside smelled bad, hot, poor ventilation Sat outside, table was sticky Server dripping in sweat Watery margs Brown guac Refried beans tasted burnt Chicken tasted like canned

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
