"This would have been a easy 5 star rating if the customer service was better. I went to place my order and the young lady with tattoos on wrist is the one who took my order. I explained to her I wanted my sub ran through the belt oven twice. She began to talk over me and Tell me I get it you want it toasted extra crispy . Well I was the only person in line important to know , my sub came out and I requested again please run it twice , she said if she ran it twice it burn so she folded the sub and stuck it in for the third time while baby sitting it ........ see where I'm going with this ? That belt oven bakes food while be ran through the oven . My point is prioritize your time in the restaurant business. Imagineif you were busy . I've been in restaurants since I was 12 busting tables and doing dishes. I'm been a sous chef and a assistant chef for over 10 years in fine dining restaurants. But people's pride and the fact that cooking is becoming less and less of a skill because of machines is the reason I got out and run my own business with animals. People need to listen to what the customer wants and be open to suggestions. It's unbelievable how people don't even do that any more. On a positive not the sub was good. And I will stop bye again. I just wanted to post this complaint so it can be handled differently next time. No worries still the best sub and bank for buck in Ithaca."

My favorite vegetarian sandwich joint, ever. Moved to California 5 years ago, but had to drive out of our way to grab a bite while visiting NY because it is that good!

A customer and an employee got into a conflict. As I was leaving the building, the customer confronted me and even yelled at my toddler. The portions of the food were not particularly generous, and the cucumbers I received were spoiled.

Seems to be a must-visit if you?re in town, so stopped by for a bagel. The sandwiches looked fantastic and according to all the other reviews are a must try. The bagel was great and the cream cheese delicious. No place to sit inside so be ready to take out. Service was fast and friendly.

It’s definitely a must-visit when you’re in town, so I stopped by for a bagel. The sandwiches looked amazing, and based on all the other reviews, I had to try one. The bagel was excellent, and the cream cheese was delicious. There isn’t a place to sit inside, so it’s more of a grab-and-go spot. The service was quick and friendly. View menu

If you're in town, this place is definitely one you shouldn't miss, so I dropped in for a bagel. The sandwiches looked amazing and, based on all the other reviews, they're a must-try. The bagel I had was excellent, and the cream cheese was delightful. There isn't any seating inside, so be prepared for takeout. The service was quick and friendly, too.

Excellent made to order subs, sandwiches, breakfast and more! Love to get a hot open-faced English muffin egg and cheese on after a long night of work. Or a sub to get me through a long day. The coffee is bold and deliciouss; Always fresh and hot. I was introduced to ssd back in college. One of my teammates was local(still is) and got us hooked so every time we came to Ithaca we got SSD. Now I try to make it a regular stop.

Best subs and cheesesteaks in Ithaca by a country mile. Really good bread quality and sandwich ingredients, and huge portions. Beautiful neon signs, hacky convenience store-items, and the ceiling dripping into a bucket set the ambiance to your gastronomic romp. It really doesn't even get close so there's no second place, but I guess that stand in Wegmans can get an honorable third mention. Definitely don't get the tater tots tho, but why would you at a sub store? View menu

We were visiting from Cleveland for the holiday weekend. After a Hike by the Ithaca Falls, we discovered this great looking deli shop. It was beyond amazing and delicious! Everything is made fresh in front of you. Their sandwiches are huge, filling and stuffed with toppings. You definitely get your money?s worth. Their chili is also phenomenal. I highly recommend this deli stop to anyone local and visiting. The staff is the nicest group of people. Very friendly, polite and helpful. Thank you for a great experience :

My point is that in the restaurant business, time management is crucial. Just imagine how much busier it gets! I’ve worked in restaurants since I was 12, managing tables and dishes, and I’ve been a sous chef for over 10 years in fine dining. The decline in cooking skills due to the reliance on machines is part of why I chose to start my own business working with animals. Customers need to feel heard, and it's surprising how often that doesn't happen anymore. On a positive note, the sub itself was good, and I would consider returning, but I wanted to share my experience so it can be handled better next time. Don't worry too much about being the best sub shop in Ithaca; focus on listening to...

"My girlfriend and I decided to take a romantic getaway on the finger lakes and our drive had us passing through Ithaca, so we decided to stop for dinner. A good friend recommended this place, and admittedly I was skeptical of Italian food this far from New York City, but I trust their recommendations and decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. For our wine selection, our server allowed us to sample one of the wines by the glass, which tasted thin. When we described what we wanted, she came back with a reasonably priced bottle that exactly hit the deep red notes that we were looking for (see the picture for the winery vintage if interested . We started with the crostini sampler. In my opinion, the Caponata was the best, but they were all interesting to try and I was glad we got all three. As a nice touch, they cut each crostini in half so my girlfriend and I could both easily sample each one. For dinner, I had the grilled hanger steak, which came with rapini and shoestring fries. I admittedly gave an annoyingly long description of how I wanted it cooked (essentially rare+ and they nailed it. The steak was fantastic, but the accompaniments were so good that they almost stole the show. The shoestring fries’ rosemary seasoning was a fun twist and the rapini was both familiar (garlic and olive oil and excitingly different. For dessert, I had what was essentially espresso mousse with graham crackers and a glass of dessert wine. While probably the weakest course, it was still a delicious way to cap an amazing meal. The mousse required a bit more texture, but fortunately they provided graham crackers on the side (which I suggest crumbling into the mousse . I’d highly recommend checking this place out if you happen to be in the area."

"Been here three times all my life in Ithaca. The first one was with my department bestie as it was our first time hanging out together and I taught her how to use chopsticks, how cute is that? And the second time was with my bf and the third time was with an old friend with her friend who were both new students this fall. The place was super strategic as you could see it from across the Seneca street bus stop because it was located hooked and the signage was kinda readable from far away. Also, they placed a printed menu on the window so that people could easily see both menu and the ambiance of the place directly although I could hold my waves of laughter a lot as I sat twice at the table near the menu because people could be very intense when seeing the menu and they might also watch us eating a bit. The staffs were attentive and friendly but their opening hours might be the quickest place to close as they close around 8pm. Food-wise, they have a wide variety of Korean and Japanese food and some kind of fusion Asian cuisine like the name of the restaurant!! I once went with fusion raw, cooked, and deep-fried sushi rolls which were so good, and some were categorized as spicy but not that spicy for my appetite. And then I tried the Vegetable Pajun or pancake served with a sour sauce which had not much flavor but the crispiness saved the game. To be honest, not really a fan of Korean food but I did try the Jjam Bong with chicken and it turned out so flavorful and the soup was spicy which I loved. The shredded chicken was tender and scrumptious also the noodle was cooked perfectly for me. Recommended to those who want to try comfort and tasty Asian cuisine around Downtown but make sure to seal the deal before 8pm so you will still be seated !!"
