"The best soul food in Jacksonville! I tried the fried chicken dinner, which comes with cornbread and two sides— I chose macaroni and cheese and collard greens. Everything had fantastic flavor and texture, and I really appreciated that the collard greens weren't cooked with pork (since I don't eat pork, this made me very happy). The service is consistently excellent, characterized by warmth and attentive care. You can’t beat the prices and the quality of food here. I can’t wait for my next visit!"

I LOVE this place! Their food is like going home to Grandma’s house. The Mac n cheese is to die for. Fried chicken is amazing! Everything I have ever ordered is just delicious! If I could eat there every day I would!!! I would be so excited if they added chicken and dumplings to their menu

The oxtails were cooked to perfection. The gravy and white rice were tasty, and the mac and cheese was also enjoyable. The only thing I didn't like was the gravy on the mashed potatoes. The sweet tea was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely return to this place. As for the interior, it was a nice and clean full-service restaurant.

My neighbor, Bobbi, and I, Mamajo, just had lunch at this restaurant for the first time today, and we can’t stop praising the chef and the wonderful service. Maya treated us like family, and the restaurant was spotless, including the restrooms. We will definitely return to try more delicious items from their menu. Wonderful meal hit the spot! . You select a main dish that may come with rice or mashed potatoes and then choose 2 sides from a long list. I selected roast (beef) with mashed potatoes and chose collard greens and black- eyed peas. It came with delicious corn bread. Very friendly staff. Clean restaurant with plenty of parking and indoor self-seating. I highly recommend this fresh comfort food and will return. Atmisphere is fine, but a bit off the main highway.
