"This evening, my family I went to Star’s Grille in Apollo for dinner. This is the third time I have been there their food is always wonderful.Unfortunately, we had an absolutely awful experience, and I am just going to share.So we arrived, sat on the patio, and ordered some food. We sat and waited for our food, for about 30-45 minutes before I went inside and asked nicely- “Hey, do you know how long our food will be?” and shortly after our food arrived. All was well, they said they were very busy, which we all absolutely understand!! We made sure our food was warm everything was okay!Until the female owner proceeded to come to our table and ask what the issue was, and when my dad told her, she replyed with a snide comment about how busy they are. Which the waitress had already clarified, after a little bit of banter back forth, mainly my dad asking for her to stop being disrespectful. He also was worked up at the time. (As one would be. She said “Well once you finish our food, we never want to see you back here.” Which is fine!! (We already decided that we were not returning. THEN the owner was incredibly disrespectful and walked towards the entrance said “I hate people” loud enough for us to hear!! Then I asked for boxes so we could take our food home. We had literally taken maybe one or two bites of our food. Without turning her back, she was in the door way, and screamed “NO” at me.My dad told her that we would pay our bill if we could have boxes to take our food home, but if not we were leaving. (Which i was not okay with, having worked in the food service industry for several years, I know how it is Needless to say, the cops were called- but when they showed up, my dad had already paid our bill. We had boxes, but we did not want to take any food home by that time. So it was left on the table.Anyways, it’s unfortunate that an owner of an establishment would act like that. It was incredibly disrespectful. Sad."

Star's restaurant provided an excellent experience for the A-R Class of 1977 during our 45th class reunion weekend. The food, drinks, and service were all superb! The updated interior and lovely patio seating enhanced the enjoyment of dining at Star's. I highly recommend it! View menu

After moving here I have been looking for a decent place to eat. They have great prices great food. You really can't beat them, and their beer is ice cold! Two of us eight for $35, 269 straps, and extra large pizza with a topping, and a full size hoagie. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50

Second time here. The wait staff is a little stressed because they’re shorthanded but they’re doing a fantastic job keeping us comfortable. The outdoor patio is absolutely adorable and very wonderfully kept up. Everything is clean. The beer still comes with a frosted cup. Been here a few times, food is really good. Loved the cauliflower wings , fries with cheese and gravy are great, and the cheese balls are awesome. The place is kept very clean and the staff are really nice. Kid-friendliness: Really nice people, been here twice and never heard any inappropriate or suggestive language. There are good options for kids in the menu as well. Parking: Pretty fair amount of parking out front and the grocery store behind the place has a lot of room as well. Wheelchair accessibility: Front patio and the rest of the restaurant is all level and easily accessible.
