"Dining at Tadich Grill, the oldest continuously operating restaurant in San Francisco, is like stepping back in time. The food is fresh and simply prepared, with ample portions that will satisfy the hungriest of diners. The clam chowder was warm and sumptuous, with a prominent green pepper flavor that distinguished it from the chowder I’m used to eating on the east coast. The fries were crispy and flavorful, and the oysters Rockefeller were massive, with more greens and bubbling cheese than oyster. The pan fried sole was tender and flavorful, and the mixed seafood salad was loaded with shrimp, prawns, and crab. Overall our meal was delicious, and the service was attentive and prompt. If you are a fan of old-school restaurants with history and classic American seafood dishes, look no further than Tadich Grill."

Great service. Excellent seafood. I had the Seafood Saute. Pictured. The oldest restaurant in San Francisco. If you are in the area this is a must do.

Fresh crab, huge shrimps and delicious ciopinno! Service was also delightful and atmosphere was great with a private booth in the tavern. Highly recommend!

Excellent food with a classic no-nonsense San Francisco vibe. The service here is great as are the drinks. I almost always get the smoke trout appetizer and the cioppino for my entree. Delicious. View menu

Outstanding flavors. I can see why this place has been around so long. Wonderful service. We spent more than normal at lunch because we had drinks and dessert. The cioppino, crab cakes, Boston chowder, chocolate cake and cocktail were all fantastic.

If I could give this place more stars, I would. The beautiful Jose managed to rave into our party of 8 on a last minute request and each individual in our group about their food. Absolutely fantastic, great atmosphere, nice staff. Will definitely come back!

I happened to stumble over this restaurant. I was hungry for a long flight and I didn't know it was the oldest restaurant in San Francisco. I wanted to eat some locals, so I asked for a Clam Chowder and they had it, and it was delicious. However, this place is not quite about food that is great about history and they do well preserve it! Visit Tadich Grill since 1976 this institution has not changed much: Unfortunately the bar became shorter and Brandy Alexander no longer exists, but the very friendly service, the wide menu with excellent fish, seafood and meat is still served in the best quality. An unforgettable visit to non-fast foods; Reservation in advance is highly recommended!

This restaurant is right down the street from my job. A couple of my coworkers went here for lunch to welcome a new staff member. I didn’t know the restaurant’s history and was pleasantly surprised. It was a great experience for someone who just moved to the city. I had the crab cakes on the recommendation from our waiter. They were delicious. We finished with a slice of the Belgian chocolate cake. We all thought it was divine. We’ll be back for more.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
