"Well first off the waitress that we had. Was not a very good one when you asked her a question she seemed like that she got rude and mad with you. And then when we asked her to get us something else will she said it's all family style . She only brought 3 small bowls of mashed potatoes, green beans. For a party of 8 people so what do you think you can do with that. And then when you asked to talk to the manager the waitress was standing there and the manager told you oh she does not lie she is one of my best waitresses. So they do not believe the customers on what they hear from the waitress my you are in there and when you say something it does not matter."

The food at this restaurant was absolutely fantastic. We were served ribs and southern fried chicken. The mashed potatoes and green beans were excellent. If anyone gives this place a bad review, they are nuts. The service was excellent and the wait times were fast.

The food was delicious, but I felt it was a bit pricey for what it offered. I might be mistaken, as I'm not sure if the ingredients are of higher quality than at other restaurants. There was free parking available, but we had to wait an hour for a table for two. While I’m glad we went, I probably won’t return

I have never been disappointed by this restaurant. It is a must-visit for us whenever we come to the Smoky Mountains. I have sampled several dishes here, but my absolute favorite is the Strawberry Spinach salad with the strawberry vinaigrette. Their homemade bread is always warm and fluffy. This place is the best! They are quite often crowded, but they do seat you fairly quickly. Our waitress, Kim, was the best. Not to mention that the food was excellent. I had a steak that was cooked perfectly and very tender. My husband had liver and onions, which I think is gross, but he said they were the best he's had in a long time. I can't say enough about our waitress, Kim. She was so great. She was extremely nice and was there whenever we needed her.

We loved this place. Food was fast, service was excellent and our server, Victor did a great job telling us about the history. The corn chowder was amazing! Great spin on a classic with either peppers or pimentos was spot on! The fritters were really good also and came with some maple butter to make them even better. Girlfriend had the club sandwich was she said was really good and I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was great and having the view of the river made the atmosphere even better. We highly recommend this place for a great scratch-cooked meal.
