"I had a bad experience from start to finish at the Old Mohawk. To start, we waited a reasonable 5ish minutes to be sat. Not horrible, not ideal. Total non issue if this was a lone occurence. We get sat, order drinks, and put in an order for an appetizer. We sat on the patio and dealt with a horrible methane smell the entire time. Totally gross. Before I go any further I should comment that the menu is a bit all over the place. Cajun pasta, cheeseburgers, crab tater tots, bratwurst. Not bad, just strange. On the other side the food is very affordable given the area. So we’re sat for a while with our drinks and we didn’t see our server, Ali, again until we got our food. We never got our appetizer, so I asked her to take it off our bill. Not a huge issue. Mistakes happen. Another issue was that she brought out my entree before my salad, so I had already forgotten about it and started to dig in to my main course. Then 5 minutes later she rolls out with my salad. The food, was good. My bratwurst platter looked more like skirt steak which I thought was strange but it was good enough. A little tough, but good. My girlfriend’s fish and chips were also pretty good. When we got our food I asked for a beer that I didn’t end up getting. We got done eating and asked for the bill, that bill came after 20ish minutes of waiting and asking another server to check on it. Overall pretty bad experience. We were planning to order 3 drinks each, get an appetizer and hang out for a while, but our server totally dropped the ball. I just moved to GV and was really excited to try this place out, but was totally disappointed. I’m hoping this was just a bad day, but it was bad enough that I found it was worth sharing my experience."

Say yes to the Smokey Gouda Bacon Bites. Good Selection of craft beer and wine.

Excellent experience. Tasty food and great beer options. Try the house's favorites, like the Bratwurst Sandwich or the Mother Mohawk.

The food was amazing. Burger was big and the crab tater tots were great. The service was great as well. Would definitely recommend this place. They even have turtle soup.

I have gone to the 'hawk almost every week for several years and love our server Anna, she 's the best! The food isn 't anything remarkable, but it 's consistent, good, and reasonably priced. View menu

Went for lunch. Meatloaf came out way overcooked and impossible to cut. Mashed potatoes were cold. Potato pancakes on the menu are really a bigger version of Ore Ida potato crisps. Little round flat basically tater tots. Waitress came by to ask if everything was OK and abruptly turned around and left before we could even voice our dissatisfaction. Won't be going back.

Overall was a good experience. The food was served quickly, hot, fresh was good. Our waitress was excellent. I ordered the chicken ravioli with alfredo sauce. Was decadent. Rob ordered the fish chips. A pound of cod with fries slaw. Wow! It's alot of food. Was excellent. Would have given a 5 overall but was a little disappointed with the Turtle soup. Don't get me wrong, it was good but it was vegetable soup with tiny pieces of turtle in it, maybe. Will go back. O yes, beautiful building inside out. Great outdoor patio for dinning.
