"Sad to leave this review. Like this place. Came in tonight around 11:20pm, google stated they closed at midnight. Two groups inside and Only wanted a 5 oz pour being I just got off work biking home knew they closed soon but not a bartender in sight. A lady patron sitting at the bar addressed me rudley, intoxicated said they were close. I followed up with with a yall close at midnight when is last call? She then followed up with a well the bartender is finished isn’t pouring anymore. I asked her if she worked there she said she used to but if you don’t leave now I’m going to fight you. I laughed it off said not worth my time but thanks for the hospitality. Over severed ex employees a ghost bartender while “still open” is an excellent way to run your taproom."

Fantastic beers and they don’t overcook their chicken!! Grilled chicken sandwich was delicious with tasty, juicy chicken. Fries also bang. 10/10

Came in for lunch and holy COW. Why didn't anyone tell me OG40 is selling the IRL equivalent of the Krabby Patty!? Cooked to perfection. Juicy and flavorful. Crisp lettuce. Crunchy pickles View menu

Top tier for us these days. Love their strawberry mojito thing, best ceviche tostados I've had in San Diego. We love the pretzel, veggie board, and chocolate wonton things. This is heavy in our rotation and we've always found the staff friendly. Dogs welcome outside.

Traveled from the LA area and stopped in after viewing West Ways Magazine’s recommendation-we weren’t disappointed! I am sure the atmosphere in the evening/night is a little more upbeat, but hanging out midday was super chill. Beer was great, food was tasty and Joey was especially welcoming and friendly; my family had a super pleasant experience and we will definitely stop by again when we’re in North Park! View menu

I recently visited this place and had an amazing time! The French fries were delicious, the burgers were mouth-wateringly good, and the beer was fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection, making it a great spot for enjoying classic American-style comfort food. One small suggestion for improvement: the restroom could use a bit of attention. The soap dispenser wasn’t working, and there were no toilet seat covers available, which can be quite inconvenient. Fixing these issues would make the overall experience even better. Keep up the great food and atmosphere!

Went here for the first time and it was a great experience. We were allowed to have our pup with us as we sat outside. There’s both indoor and outdoor seat. My husband and I got the fried chicken sandwich and the beat and arugula flatbread. The chicken sandwich and fries were nice and crispy. The flat bread was really delicious, sweet and savory with the goat cheese and beats. I think adding some balsamic glaze on top would really put it over the top. The hazy IPA paired well with the food. Their guest dragonfruit and mango kombucha was refreshing. The wait staff was very friendly. Thank you to Cory and the other kind bartender (I didn’t catch her name) that helped us. We’ll definitely be ba...

"I adore this restaurant. Golden Hill is filled with many many quality eateries, and Counterpoint anchors the neighborhood with it's fun atmosphere and dedication to quality. They recently renovated and the new space is open, airy and provides a variety of seating options: bar seating, restaurant seating, and upper balcony (I use this as a quiet place to WFH during the week), and an outdoor patio. I'm partial to the biscuit and gravy for breakfast, but the brined chicken and waffles or breakfast hash always makes me smile and sends me unto the world with a better outlook on life and a doggie bag. When it's hot, delicious crunchy salads are on the lunch menu and the craft beers and unique slushy flavors change. Counterpoint takes the quality of food and libations seriously. The craft cocktails rotate as the bartenders are encouraged to explore and grow. The owner and team are always warm, welcoming and make sure you have a good experience. Did I mention they are DOG friendly? Definitely worth the trip up the hill from downtown if you're looking to wind down after an event or precharge and eat before a baseball game. I love to bring my friends for a snack (try the olive selection) and chat on a twilight night. Space heaters outside if you get cold. Fans inside if you get warm. Honestly if you live in or are visiting the 92102 area code you should go to Counterpoint: good food, really good cocktails, and great company. It is clear that this establishment cares about quality, cares about your comfort and loves if you have a good time."
