"Ate here with the wife with high hopes the reviews wouldn't steer us wrong. We were here on a Monday night so maybe they didn't have the all star staff on.. The kitchen is in the basement so not much to report. The coleslaw was bitter/sour so maybe overdid it with the acid. The crab cake, tartar sauce, and salad excuse were just ok- not a $36 plate. Her chicken was overcooked. Fries were probably the best thing here and that's not saying much. Cleanliness: no, Freshness: no, Friendliness: no, and Speed of service: no. No stars. The worst part was the bartender that served us used the rest room 3 times since our visit and picked, wiped, and touched about everything above his shoulders the entire time we waited. Gross."

Visiting in town for a conference, the bar tender was on it, drinks kept full, food out quick, got the calamari and pasta with meat balls. Great quality and quick service, thank you for busy people.

We ordered the crab dive and the BBQ brisket sandwich. The crab dive was one of the best I've ever had. The fries were good, and the coleslaw was average. The brisket was very tender, and the rolls were also quite delicious.

I absolutely loved this historic tavern and bartender Tim. I had the wings, and they were delicious! The portion size was very generous; I could only finish half of them. Plus, Betty Boop greets you at the door! What a fantastic find!

It's a bit over priced for the quality of food but I'm sure it's due to the cost of the location. Service is great and the food is decent. If you're in the downtown area and don't feel like going to Fells Point or Fed Hill, this is a nice convenient location. View menu

The restaurant wasn't very busy, and the indoor seating was closed, but that's how things are these days. We dined outside in the summer heat, but fortunately, there was a nice breeze. The crab cake was excellent, and the bartender did his best to take care of us.

This place was awesome!! Melissa was a great bar tender and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. I hen we got busy it didn’t phase her at all!! The bar location is awesome, the prices are great and the atmosphere is amazing on a nice night!! Definitely recommend!! Give Melissa a raise ?

Such a fun location, we visited recently for a private party and rented out the entire upstairs for the evening. The staff had set up several shareable appetizers including nachos, chicken wings, veggie trays, Mac&Cheese, and pasta salad. The open bar bartenders were so fast and made excellent drinks. We’d have an event here again! View menu

What a great find!! The place is really small, you can sit outside, inside at the bar, and there were a couple tables as well. Bartender was very nice. We had the crab dip which was out of this world, the crab soup was good but it was more red sauced based instead of cream based like I love, but still good, a little spicy, and the crab cake platter. The crab cakes were absolutely amazing. French fries were perfection as well. I will definitely visit this place again and over and over when I visit Baltimore.. it's a must go!!

I give the place 4 stars for atmosphere, service, prices, but my sandwich was best 3. I will be the hit in that I don't notice enough attention to the menu, it said crumb dive and not crumb meat on the chesapeake chicken sandwich. the chicken breast itself was dry and I could not taste the crab at all; only the cheese. the fries were hot and tasty, that was quite redeeming. I visited the tavern the next day again because it was next to my hotel and this time got the smothered chicken sandwich and it was a home run! I would not recommend the $35 crab cake platter, which is a single 4-6oz crabcake, small salat, 1/4 cups sponge and pommes. bier is kold!

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
