"I called to make a reservation, and asked to be seated outside on the patio, so we can overlook the river. Got to the restaurant, and was seated indoors. The food was good, I had the carbonara which was awesome. But my sister had a chicken caesar salad, and the chicken was dry. Good thing we ordered the carbonara, so we can use the sauce as a sort of gravy for the chicken. The steaks and thier sides were nice amd tender. The server was friendly, but the food did take a long while to come out."

Staff is awesome and friendly. We stop in for food, drinks or even just a coffee from time to time. They are always welcoming and happy to see us. There are specific pics on the menu that make this place worth it, not everything is great.

Always the best food in Port Hope.They do however rinse their glassware in an iodine solution which leaves a smell to the glasses that some people can smell. I'm one of them. I always request my wine glasses to be rinsed in fresh water and wiped before wine service.

Gusto has a great location and a beautiful patio. However, I’ve lived in Port Hope for 3 years and haven’t seen their menu change once. When you compare it to Italian restaurants in Toronto that charge the same prices, you would expect a little more creativity from their executive chef. The food they have is delicious though. Other than that, the servers are always lovely and it has a great atmosphere.

Went for my wife’s birthday, we both ordered chicken parm , pasta was a disappointment and overcooked. I indicated on the reservation that it was a special occasion and there was no mention of it from the waitress. The table beside us were also celebrating a birthday and it was obvious that the waitress gave them a hospitality desert. I don’t believe anyone expects this as the norm, just saying be consistent. We are new to the area and will go back and give it a second try.
