"Don’t order the filet mignon on the bone. Have done it three times and finally realized it’s a terrible cut that they try to make you think is special. Also, they now have a credit card charge that they said they have always had, which I know is not true because I am a regular for years (not anymore I get things are more expensive but just build it into the price instead of nickel and dimeing. Finally, steak took far too long. They tried to BS me that because the steak is thick it takes a very long time—I cook steak all the time at home and know how long it’s supposed to take. Why not be honest and say you have new people in the kitchen and new cooks so everything is taking longer (one of the bar tenders told me that was the case Will no longer be my go to steak house"

I wasn't that impressed. My husband and I try a new steakhouse every time we are in the city. There wasn't anything really bad. The food was prepared properly

Very nice restaurant. The steaks are better than the high-end chop houses. Much better flavor than most big name joints. You could not have better servers knowledgeable, friendly and great humor

We started with kobe meatballs which were delicious, garden salads and a very generous mozzarella and tomato salad. We shared a porterhouse steak which was charred perfectly and was soft and yummy. Sides including garlic mashed, sauteed onions and mushrooms and asparagus also hit the mark. Dessert which included chocolate souflee and cheese cake were excellent. We enjoyed our meal View menu

This is hands down our favorite restaurant in NYC, maybe even anywhere. We were so happy to return after the pandemic it's been one of the places we've most been looking forward to experiencing again. The steaks are PHENOMENAL, but so is every other item on the menu. The service is top-notch with attentive, friendly servers who turn timing into an art form. We're so very happy Uncle Jack's is open again. It's our must-do every trip to NYC

My worst dining experience in a NYC steakhouse ever in over years of visits. I took my family to enjoy a NYC steakhouse. The server had a smug and cold attitude and never smiled or welcomed us. We ended up paying for our drinks and appetizer and leaving to go to another restaurant. Embarrassing performance by a supposedly reputable restaurant. The servers attitude was certainly the worst I have ever experienced for a dinner which we cut off at to save our evening

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
