"I was there a few weeks ago so please excuse my delayed criticism. The food was edible, and the wine was average, so it wasn't terrible. I'm used to mediocrity; I live it every day. However, the service was a tad sus. The waitstaff seemed a bit overbearing and would be checking up on us what seemed like every five minutes and it was a little frustrating. It almost seemed like they were in a hurry for us to leave, which was interesting because it wasn't very busy then.Anyway, it's not super important because the terrible lady I brought is no longer speaking with me. She's probably off doing some sorcery like drinking moon water and staying in oddly themed motels. On a side topic, I think your establishment is haunted because the lights kept flickering, which leads me to believe that I was cursed with some bad juju, that's why my lady friend is no longer interested, as it surely couldn't be the result of my charming personality. Surely...I took her to the lake for a picnic the last time I saw her. We sat by the water when these weird otherworldly entities that were gigantic in stature rose up out of the lake. They were winged creatures with humanoid bodies and tentacled faces. I saw some like them before in a small seaside town called Innsmouth. They picked her up and dragged her into the void, and I haven't heard from her since. Rachel, if you see this I'm sorry that the evil cthulhuian-like beings that started following us since dining at this particular restaurant kidnapped you. Most of this review is sarcasm, but you wasted some of my time with your questionable service so I thought I'd return the favor. Thanks! Also, if you decide to dine here, the chicken marsala is actually pretty good. I was a tad too critical with my review of the food."

Wow. Just one word: fantastic. That was one of the best Italian meals we've ever had. The stuffed mushrooms were incredible, filled with delicious Italian flavors.

Just moved to the area, had heard nothing but good things about Vincenzo’s. We came in hungry, left smiling and full! The food and the service were great. Will be back very soon!

I had a calm experience at Roast-Rind while listening to Mr. Mans and his Roast-Rind sandwiches. I ordered the chicken with a white wine and lemon butter sauce, and it was delicious. View menu

I absolutely adore this restaurant! The owners and staff are fantastic, and the food is delicious. They even have a lower level that can be used for private parties. I highly recommend it!

I'll tell you how Vincenzos was... FANTASTIC as always. The best Italian restaurant in North county by far! If you haven't become familiar with Vincenzos yet...do yourself a favor and do so soon.

Lobster Ravioli was good. Little too much garlic for my tastes. But if you like garlic you will love it. Cream sauce very good. Wifes fettuccine noodles undercooked a little. Very friendly staff. Nice family orientated atmosphere. View menu

This is a wonderful family-owned restaurant. The food is excellent, and the service is outstanding! The staff really knows how to treat their customers well. Make sure to call the restaurant directly for reservations instead of using Google.

Excellent food and wonderful people! I recently discovered this hidden gem in North County, and it was my first visit. My cousin and I started with the Eggplant Parmesan and Lobster Ravioli as appetizers, and they were absolutely fantastic! I chose the Portobello Mushroom Pasta, while my cousin had the Rib Eye Steak Sandwich. Everything was cooked to perfection. As a picky eater when it comes to food quality, I can honestly say I haven’t been this satisfied with a restaurant in a long time. I can't wait to explore more of the menu! If I could give it 10 out of 5 stars, I would do it in a heartbeat!

"My boyfriend and I came to this place during our visit to St. Louis after reading rave reviews about it online. We went in well-dressed and excited with high expectations, but unfortunately were left feeling extremely disappointed and underwhelmed. Dining at the restaurant definitely taught us a lot about the ozark history. I have a lot of respect for the time and enthusiasm the owner put into researching the history, arranging youtube videos, and conveying this information to the guests. His concerns about the environment and zero-waste efforts are also very laudable. His direct interactions with all of the guests and attempts to answer questions were refreshing. The food, however, was very lacking and mediocre. The concept of watching your food being made is fun and exciting. Understandably, they can’t make everything and plenty is prepared in advance. Except they really didn’t seem to make much of anything at all. A few grilled mushrooms here, and a delicate but also pompous plating there and that’s it. I know there’s probably a kitchen in the back and they work throughout the day as most kitchens do, but this gaudy element of pseudo showmanship missed a serious mark. Again, that’s fine. It’s an aesthetic and part of the bulrush experience. What annoys me is the price tag and the faint whiff of haughtiness that comes with it. The kitchen hands also looked apathetic, disinterested, and lacked focus. They didn’t look like professional chefs, just professional food assemblers. I did not trust that they knew to prepare food properly and that was evident in what was eventually served. The food was either too plain, too sour, too salty, or overall a very big disappointment. The steak had so many big chunks of fat in it that I was only able to eat about half of it. The poissants were cute but definitely not something I would pay that much money for, especially given that there were only about two small pieces of it on our plates. The beets, brussel sprouts, asparagus, fried onions that we were served, I can find and reproduce in my own kitchen. For the amount of money we paid, I expected a lot more flavor, unique ingredients, and creativity. I asked the owner why Ozark and he admitted it was an entrepreneurial strategy to stand out. He loved to repeat to our audience that night that “no one else” is doing it! Well when you taste the food you can kinda see why? I can’t deny though that the chefs know how to make something look appetizing in pictures. That’s what initially attracted us to the restaurant. The pretty platings and colorfully spectacular arrangements were what got us in the door. The experience has been worth it in the sense that for all that we paid for, we got a good lesson to not eat with our eyes, and a funny story to tell our friends back at home."
